Congratulations on the new 25LSV. BTW, we all like pictures.

@Dfowkes  can give some great help. However, you need lead. I quite often run a small crew. Usually. 3-5 people and it is not enough weight. I counteracted with about 700 in lead. Now the wave is great. When I do load up people it only gets better.

As @NWBU stated. It takes right at 350-400. Just to balance the lean from the prop torque.

Yep at least 350.  The bigger the driver you might need some additional.  Jared at www.leadwake.com is a great guy and will take care of you.

So yesterday I tried multiple setups on my 2019 25 LSV. I do have two 750# FatSacs in the rear lockers, but no other extra ballast or lead. Only 2 of us in the boat.  I know everyone says to add 300-400# of lead on the port side to counteract prop torque and level the boat. But I tried to level it out just using more water in the port side ballasts.

The boat ballast system measures both the stock and FatSac in the same measurement (%). I put 75% in the Port rear, just under 25% in starboard rear (It would fluctuate between 0% & 25%) and 100% in mid and bow. This levels the boat out both side to side and front to back.

We moved the wedge around some usually stayed on 3 out of 6 (Vert). Speed was 10.5 MPH. I was pretty happy with the results. I am sure I could get a better wave with lead or more bow ballast, but I want to be able to empty everything when I need to cruise and I usually have enough people that I can move them around.

Thanks for the help from everyone on this board it helped me understand the importance of leveling the boat in both directions and getting the prop to propel more front to back instead of more downward (Bow rise).

That certainly works and gives you a decent wave. You’re leaving a lot of the potential wave on the table but at least you’re aware of the trade off.

Keep playing with it and see what adding another 25% to both rears will do. I always run the 25 LSV between 11.2-11.4, so see what bumping up the speed and adding in some more wedge will do too.

Yes more wedge, weight, and speed and the wave will amaze you.
