I am at 5 weeks tomorrow. Still has not shipped. I think he originally told me 3-5 weeks. This is with custom graphics.

Did you get your board yet? I'm at 4 weeks and checking my email regularly. The wait is killing me. Looking forward to getting a few sessions in before things slow down in the fall.

Thinking about getting one of these.... Currently I suck as a rider. I can throw the rope and that's it. Bought "The Buzz" by Byerly when I bought my boat. 5'2". Extremely light board and seems fun...? Like I said I suck, learned how to surf this summer. I am 6'0, 215 lbs. Yes a little fluffy....

i have all rookie riders on the boat but some are getting pretty good now. Light girls all the way to my buddy who is 6'4 240 lbs.....

Any help is great!

Thanks!!

I hope u didn't have to pay for that art.

I didn't. And I like it. I told him I wanted some color but I wasn't interested in paying for any. I like that it makes it more original. I also like that he put my name on the stringer.

here you go @shawndoggy  looks like my pictures from imjur went away and I guess I didn't really do a review.  I'll try to post a video but bottom line is, this thing rocks. I gained 10' of waveby being able to drop the wedge and not have to make my wave so steep. Riding it on stevos 25 for its maiden voyage made it all that much more sweeter.

and by the way, I am running WCT's and Von Sol nubsters. I ordered a set of AM1's but they didn't make it in the box. I am looking forward to trying different fins. The WCT's work real well tho. They are supposed to be the "looser" fins and the AM1's the more locked in, "faster" fins.  Apparently they are dynamically different and really change the feel of the board. Looking forward to trying them out.

Friday the 13th theme?

I'm looking into one of these boards..

But this would not be ridable for me or my wave. The back foot pad is way far back. My back foot would be between the two pads..

If my back foot was anywhere near on that pad I would be falling out of my wave all day long..

@The Hulk totally agree with @shawndoggy.. even if it is not soul craft.. you need to get off the popout boards and on a real one... you will need your foot back there. I have a rider that has a the long fish... and he struggles everytime... hops on a real board and grin is on face.. The popouts are good for learning... but are way to slow to enjoy.. you have progressed my friend.. now get a board to enjoy that progression on!!!

My feet are typically about centered on the hyperlite slightly shift towards back.. these boards would have to be crazy fast to have feet that far back and still surf back in the wave.. just seems impossible or would have to surf very close to boat on steep wave ie small pocket.. I hope to try a new one next season.. now just need to figure out which one..

Strangely everybody that's ridden behind my boat but has a smaller wave of their own ends up having to move their feet Way Forward and are always surprised how much more weight forward they can ride and then how much further back they can ride like this.. . I am all for giving a faster bored I just can't see having a foot that far back.. I will probably request a full deck pad.. for the price I'm paying custom I don't want to worry about it being in the wrong spot.

LOL! dude you need to actually ride a good board!

A good board... that is the right size for you. I've ridden plenty of good boards but most of them were too small for me. When you get a good board that fits, it's a whole new experience.  The fact that you say your foot placement is in the middle of the board just confirms that you need to get on a custom. I don't understand. You spend all this time dissecting gate angles and other tweaks for wave shaping. I think a good board will get 10X the results that an extra few degrees of gate deflection will. Do it!

@The Hulk you really need to try a board built for your size.  I used to ride my other boards for 20 to 30 minutes and my feet and legs would wear out or cramp, when I got the voodoo I jumped on it and tried all the tricks early thinking would be the same. 2.5 hours later I was still riding and working the wave.  Totally effortless on a board sized right.
