I have never heard anything about this............I've owned 2 Malibu's and been on numerous others and have never heard of the power wedge "breaking".  Actually the Power Wedge is probably the main feature that would cause me to buy Malibu instead of Axis.

+1.  The lift feature is great and you can really tweak your wakes by moving the wedge to different positions.  All of which you can't do with an Axis.  Wish you could get a PWII on an Axis so bad.

Oh they do, still trying to sort mine out right now.  I don't know about most within 3 years but those actuators will leak in, get out of harmony, and bind.  Never understood why the system needed 2 actuators.  I've had both fixed and now power and wouldn't go back even though they can be frustrating to fix when broke.

When I was at a Malibu dealer. He said he has so many problems with warranty and put of warranty power wedge's. I'm sure it's nice to be able to adjust it and but for me not having a touch screen dash and not having a power wedge is a positive. Less expensive stuff to break the better.

For sure there are problems. But to say that multiple dealers have told you that all malibus have the power wedge fail within the first three years sounds crazy. Like the op was at a mastercraft or nautique dealer. Not my experience at all.

+1.  This was a big concern for me when we switched from our '14 A22 to our '15 LSV.  Dealer assured me they have only had a couple of wedge issues over the last couple of years.  I have been good friends with my dealer for 18 years and I fully believe him.  He has always been honest and has no problem telling us the issues of each manufacturer.  We haven't had any issues with the PW2 and I don't personally know anyone who has.  Doesn't mean it's not out there.  Just not every boat.
