Can anyone articulate the pumping technique for heelside riding. I'm a regular rider and getting more comfortable riding the goofy wave on my heelside. but i want to be able to recover farther back.

If your toe side weight is more ball of foot to toes then heel side will translate to more arch of foot to heels.

I don't know man......you're doing a pretty dang good job to begin with.  The only thing I'd add is to squat more to put more weight onto your heels.  Probably obvious, but that's the tricky thing about riding heelside; getting use to using your heels like you've been using your toes.  The only effective way I've found to do that is to crouch a bit more and keep my back straight.  Avoid the temptation to lean forward.  Mitch might have more succinct advice......

@Stevo take this fwiw cuz I'm not blasting airs or anything heelside, but the thing I tell people is to make sure they are looking over their front shoulder to square up at the wave.  The same way that I tell people to bring their front shoulder to the wave and square up when riding toeside.  Easier said than done, do as I say not as I do, etc. etc.

@Tags yeeeeeeeaaaah! Nice man!

when I watched the first video I was like "how did he not get that!"  ...... then I watched the second. :lol:

@-BS- i think my issue is that i'm not staying crouched down for long enough during the spin. After i stuck the first one the next few came a little more consistently.

How do you have your ballast set up for the iride. I have an 04 DD wakesetter (same boat)

1100lbs ballast in the rear locker. 550lbs MLS center ballast. Wedge down. mission delta wake-shaper. plus whatever people weight is in the boat. In this instance there was 3 adults. Depending on the people in the boat i also have a 200lbs bag that sits under the bow filler cushion, if necessary. I was adamant that the ballast had to be hidden as i didn't want to sacrifice any floor/seating space.

@vanamp Super cool video! Where was the drone pilot controlling from?

Thanks. The pilot was on shore. We stayed close by but the range of the drone was 2+ miles. Next season he is going to try filming from the boat.
