I actually was down in Nashville on a business trip for my internship over the summer and he tweeted he was bringing a few people on out the lake so I replied to his tweet and he invited me out! He gave us some wakesurfing lessons and then included us in the shots for his upcoming CMT Hot 20 Countdown episode, which was really cool.

Having just graduated college I actually don't have a boat at this time, but in the past I have hit up Monona and Waubesa with friends. I have only been wakesurfing once (with Jake) and really loved it but I used to board all the time a couple years back until I messed my ankle up.

I am all over the board with music. I frequently play everything from Zac Brown to the beach boys to AC/DC, and all the 80's hair in between.

Here in AZ everyone under the age of 90 is a kid, our hair is a nice shade of blue. There is a shortage of '78 Cadillac's, we go Denny's for the early bird special 3x a week. Oh yeah and the temperature isn't bad "it's a dry heat".

I didn't say "you." You are allowed to like whatever you want. But here are the reasons I hate it...

In my experience in dealing with people who don't LIVE in the south, many of them are shocked we don't all listen to country, drive on dirt roads, beat our wives, scream "roll tide," and live in trailers. :p

Surprise, we don't all sound like Duck Dynasty cast members. lol

This song just perpetuates the whole redneck persona that a lot of us hate, and prefer not to be associated with.

Plus, that horrible over the top, fake country "twang" he sings with is unrealistic. Trying too hard to be "straight outta the sticks" kinda country.

And, it's a terrible song that sounds like all other terrible country songs, it just happens to be about a boat, coors light, and yeti coolers. You can replace "boat" with "nascar" or "frog giggin'" or "turkey hunting calls" or "mud ridin'" etc.

LMAO.... I own my southern heritage and wear it with pride. I drive a lifted 4 wheel drive 2500HD. I have tattoos, I proudly consider myself a red neck. I have been muddin, ride 4 wheelers, have a blue collar job, own plenty of guns and read the bible. I am conservative and if the world comes to an end I think I would make it just fine with my hillbilly friends while many others wouldn't. I do have a small hint of a southern accent however I am not an Alabama fan, not particularly endeared to "bro country" however I do like country music as well as hard rock and some rap. My wife is cute and happens to have all of her teeth. On an average day in my board shorts hanging out on the lake you wouldn't know I am a redneck but if you hang around me much you'd eventually get it. Oh I don't smoke or chew tobacco either lol... But I am happy to own my stereotype and in all honesty I take it as a compliment when some northerner or Midwesterner calls me a Redneck... I live in a small town just outside of Nashville also.... Living in the South is a hidden secret. I do love California and dream about living there...but thats fantasy right now.

I think the South at this very moment in time is teaching the rest of the Union how States are suppose to be. I got plenty of examples but won't get into them. I like people that are a little red around the neck...they are real and usually very nice and Patrotic. That's a win, win...

I also heard they are going to test market a new "nascar" styled edition AXIS in the southern states. It will be a little cheaper, because it will be covered in "sponsor logos", the only drawback is with handling, they can't get it to make a right hand turn.
