Got (literally) shocked on the boat today

And then keep in mind everyone's resistance is different. I worked with a tech that would routinely pull secondary wires with his hands. Claimed he never got shocked. I got shocked everytime I tried it.... High tension pliers for me.

Even so I sincerely doubt we are talking battery voltage here. Most people either don't feel a thing or just a slight tingle. I've never seen anyone "shocked" from a twelve volt source. It's only 3 volts more than a stupid 9 volt battery :)

I'm not saying it didn't happen, just that it's highly unlikely.

After re reading the post, I think I am convinced it was either secondary ignition shock (like from the spark plug) or maybe a 12 volt shock from a discharging capacitor?
