Hang out in the back yard and let the out of towners tire themselves out. .... our lake is about 75% vacation homes from Chicago / Milwaukee. Monday through Friday, dead calm and great, weekends is chaos.

Did have the boat out last night for a short little putt-around.

We are headed to Oroville for a week in June , at least it will be easier to catch fish in less water

I think all these lakes with exception of folsom will make it all summer. Not ideal conditions, but enough water to still have a great time on.

WEll Tomorrow we are heading up with friends to SIlver Glenn Springs in Central Florida. Beautiful crystal clear spring water, about 300+ boats tied up for a day at the Redneck Yacth club. Looking forward to this!!

Our memorial day on the water started off crazy, almost got hit by a runaway patio boat/barge at the marina... hard to believe, but the employee at the marina pulled up to dock, left boat in gear while running and hopped off.... and it was coming right for our boat... luckily someone at the dock yelled look out for that boat or else it would have definitely hit us... I threw it in reverse and it missed us by about 5-8 feet... the employee at the marina jumped in the water and tried swimming for the boat, it slammed into the wall at the dam and kept going and luckily went back to and hit the dock where someone jumped on it and turned it off. I have never seen anything like this happen before, it was like it was happening in slow motion. The kid in the water I picked up and took over to the dock. Guy was super lucky, and thankfully nobody was hurt and no boats were damaged. After watching that boat hit the dam wall I am pretty confident our vlx would have been at the bottom of the lake. I guess the guy had a brain fart, not sure how someone could step off a boat in gear with engine running....

After this we had a great day on the water.... good times hanging out with family and good friends. Super busy during the day but the evening was nice and empty, got some great riding in.

We got out Monday morning and got some outstanding water. Shortly after a zoo happened. Today my wife and dog got a very quiet pontoon ride, love quiet! I think I could count the boats that went by today on one hand. It did start raining this evening so some time was lost. Should be good till the 4Th. :yahoo:
