Exile System Installed

bungi I looked and I didn't take any pics. I can this weekend, but it's really super basic. You just zip tie the signal generator to the alternator's output wire. There are a couple of youtube vids out there that give some instruction too, but this is about as easy as they come with component installs.

Thanks for checking. I'll figure it out just thought a pic would save my lazy a** some googlin.

Yes it did. No trimming. Just removed hot tube housing. Put a 4inch base under box to lift it off floor. Had to bring out kick panel about 6-7inches.

So, can you remove the snap-in carpet piece under the drivers seat? Or does your kick panel sit on top of it now?

Do you think that Qbomb box could handle the Exile Big 12 at 1500 watts? or would it just bust it to pieces? Someone asked me about it today if it would handle it, really had no answer, it would be a good test for Qbomb. I would imagine people using it in auto applications are putting some pretty hard core subs in it.

If the size specs were correct I'd give it a try. Seems likes it is very well built. And with the rhino liner it adds some extra durability.

I think I am going to give it a shot and the have a custom box built later for it that is ported if I don't like the way it sounds. Brian told me the big 12 only needs 1.2 cu ft box sealed application that box is 1.3 cu ft. I think the subs are roughly the same size just the big 12 is much heavier

I'd add a small piece of wood inside box for sub magnet to rest on. You might have to do some measuring to get it just in the right position/height. That would take a lot of strain off of the front mounting surface of sub box.

That's what I did.

Good idea. Something like a 2x4 with L brackets or is that too large?

Anything will work. You just have to figure out the exact height of the magnet off the inside bottom of the box. You can screw in a piece of wood from under box or just glue it. It just has to be firmly attached to box before sub is installed.
