Replacing Seat Skins

Anyone used Gabriel lately or heard from him?  Was going to order 3 skins from him for my rear seats over the winter.

I ordered 3 from him, and they were delivered in May, that was the latest contact I had.  Was slow to return my calls because he was so busy.  I just kept trying different times and days.  Once I got him he gave me a time line, and was actually done a little earlier than he said.  I bet ordering now for winter will be the best way to go.

Since its been a few years since the last post on this topic, but does anyone know if Gabriel is still fabricating Malibu skins? I had emailed him at [email protected] but have not heard back yet. I have a 2006 Malibu 247 Wakesetter that I'd like to replace some skins. Thanks!

I contacted him mid March and my skins should be showing up Thursday.  Communication was slow, but he sent a picture of the skins and they look great!

Anyone know if Gabriel Garcia is still performing this type of work? Looking at replacing a sun deck skin and possibly the large back seat skin. Thanks

Apparently he is - but you could call/email to confirm

Anyone know what the black rubber trim that goes around the bottom edge of cushions is called or got a link to it please?  Trying to find it on google is impossible.

Gotta tell ya Gabriel did 4 seat skins for my 2005 23 LSV and they are perfect in color and fit perfect. Would definitely recommend using him!

What is best for communications with him, E Mail, Text, Phone?

I've been following this post for quite some time as my '10 23 LSV vinyl was starting to show signs of needing replacement.  Emailed Gabe in December, spoke with him on the phone today.  Extremely helpful, sounds very busy - quoted 2 months to get new skins, but I am quite ok with that for a quality product.  Placed my order today, would not take payment until skins are complete.

Will update with before and after pics once installed, hoping to install new skins myself.

I'd be interested in know what it cost - per piece/whole job  etc. Are you sending the old ones down?

I was able to get ahold of him twice by phone.  209-564-6203.

I have not had replies to any of my 3 emails either, from speaking with him on the phone he sounds like he has a pretty good backlog of work requests in his inbox!

I was quoted ~$200US per cushion for new skins plus shipping.  So for the 6 bottom cushions, I am looking at ~$1200US.  By the time I convert to Cdn it won't be a whole lot cheaper than having the cushions re-upholstered in Edmonton, I'm really banking on these being as close to factory skins as possible though.  It sounds like the grey textured upholstery that Malibu used on cushions of this era is getting hard to come by.  Really hoping he has enough to do our project, would hate to have to choose a different color that doesn't match the rest of the boat.

Received my seat skins from Gabriel mid-April.  Looked great.  Had a local upholstery shop install them here in Alberta, haven't picked them up yet.  Will post pictures when I pick them up later this week.
