Amps are cutting out?

A red flashing light could be pointing you in the right direction, its likely a diagnostic code. The LC-1 is a simple passive POT, so it should not induce anything into the system that would cause the amp(s) to go into protect mode. Even so, I would start by checking the status of the batteries then bypass the LC-1s just to see if the issue goes away.

That's the plan as soon as I can get it back in the water and away from civilization. ha

Put the boat in the garage so I did a little more troubleshooting on this. Amp was throwing a short code by the flashing lights. As soon as I saw this it clicked. Smart me decided to adjust the speaker angles on the tower when I first got the boat. I didn't realize how small the cutout for the wires was in the tower and pinched them. It slowly wore though and I could just barely see some raw wire when I looked at where it had been rubbing. Did a few wraps with some electrical tape to pad the bad spots and readjusted the speakers. Good as new.
