TX boat numbers.  And the photos don't look like NM to me.  I'd say that one is a scam.

You're probably right.  I thought I caught it on a Texas Craigslist site too, but can't find it anymore. And, New Mexico is much prettier than the lush green in the background. Ok, not really.

The 2010 TX 23 LSV Looks like a scam.  One thing I noticed that all the boats that were scams were taken at the same location and that was one of the locations I noticed a few times.  The other thing is that there are always only 3 or less pictures so you reply and ask for more pictures.  Also there are either no hours listed so you email and ask about the hours or the hours are ridiculously low. Here is that same boat in Ohio now: https://columbus.craigslist.org/boa/d/2010-malibu-23-lsv-wakesette/6384099594.html

This is another popular spot, any boat with this background is a scam:

I'm not really sure what the end game is with these guys posting these scam boats.

Well looky right here. Also in Albuquerque craigslist is your Jacksonville find.

Thanks for for the input.  These A-Hole scammers can go fly a kite!

If that one is a real listing, it gives you a pretty good idea of how they are holding value for resale......

Yup, had that conversation offline a few times. Mostly talked about how bad the 237s depreciate, but the jury was still out on the 257s. That one oldjeep posted has been for sale since September.

It's real. It is at the local Mastercraft dealer here.

Holy moly if that Ri257 was a trade in and relisted at 105 they must have only got 90-95k on trade.

Thats worse depreciation then a direct drive ski boat!

That is all making an assumption on what they paid.  Local dealer has had the same 3 or 4 boat sitting around all year - I suspect that you can get a deal on the boats that nobody (around here) seems to be interested in.

IMO, resale has more to do with brand awareness, distribution network, and buyer perception.

Unfortunately, those that bought those boats with resale in mind might get stung.  However, if you were one of the many who bought at (or close) to cost, you should probably do ok.

Well true but even if they got a steal on that new, still a huge hit after one year.

and the one here

dropped 10K within 10 days ... I'm not sure if this is the local reps boat?  But for all it's worth - the discussion about holding their value has already been settled with the listings popping up ...

Background looks like a nice neighborhood on Lake Minnetonka so the boat is probably pocket change to the owner.  Likely not a rep with that house.  If they're really moving and have to sell right away, somebody's going to get a great deal.

That boat has been on OIB since September for that exact same price.
