Ooohhh... I like that mod.

I also see you have figured out how to change your wallpaper. Go to F150forums and there are a few threads where guys post awesome jpgs in just the right size for our screens... some really professional stuff.

Here's a few (thousand) to choose from. I have around 15 loaded on my truck and I change them frequently.

My favorite mod is my stubby antenna. $8 on eBay. Perfect reception. Looks so much better than the 4' coat hanger the factory puts on there.

They only have 1 12V plug on the dash? What is this 1990? ;)

No... There is another 12v plug hidden in the center console and you can keep the lid closed and fish the phone cable out into the cab.

There is also a USB port hidden in the center console. It can be used for charging or playing music (or both). I keep an old iPod permanent hooked up to that port. Then I can also stream content over Bluetooth from phone.

There is also an SD card slot in the console.

On the back side of the console (facing rear passengers) there is another 12v and a traditional three-prong AC plug.

To be honest, I've never actually used the 12v plug on the dash. Too messy running exposed cords to the dash, IMHO.

I like the antenna.

Thanks for the links on the wallpaper, IXFE.

I've been thinking of a stubbu antenna. That's a killer upgrade for $8.

Is yours the actual "Stubby", or a knockoff? We usually do XM, so reception isn't critical unless we need it for weather.

I didn't realize there was "authentic" Stubby anetennas vs. knock offs. All this crap is made in China, so who cares? We're talking about a radio antenna here, not a Rolex.

I bought the antenna over a year ago. The ebay link is long gone. But I looked in my purchase history and the seller is advancetuning. Mine came with several adapters to work with a variety of cars (same as the links below). I was skeptical, but for $8 it wasn't much a gamble. A year later and it's my favorite mod. I listen to FM (HD) radio a lot, and it's clear as a bell. If you run through auto car wash, I recommend unscrewing it because they are NOT flexible.

The seller doesn't have the exact black one I got, but here's one just like it. Probably the same piece.

Better yet, here's one that might just match up well to your truck! And this one is from my same seller.

I kept my OEM antenna just in case I felt the need to go back... it's now collecting dust on my workbench.

There is one called "The Stubby", and just wondered because the reviews on it weren't all that great as far as reception goes.

Between Sirius and USB I really don't listen to the radio much. I just like the looks of that short antenna.

Just got my Retrax pro yesterday, installed this morning. Took about an hour, after installing the pop n lock as well. Get the Retrax if you haven't gotten one yet. It's pretty pro :)

I hate to always be "that guy" who goes counter to forum consensus, but here I go again...

I really dislike Weathertech. And not just the product, the company and the business model too (who do you think is paying for all those 4 page ads in every car magazine... YOU ARE!!). I just don't think those light, cheap, thin, hard, plastic liners are worth what they charge. And yes, I've owned a set and was very disappointed in the feel (hard & cheap) the fit (they move around due to light weight and slick backing), and how poorly they held up (looked like crap after only a year). Even more disappointing were my interactions with the company, their warranty, etc. (I ordered factory direct). I'll leave it at that. The details would bore you. Suffice to say, they will never get another dime from me.

On my F-150 I got the OEM all-weather mats. I paid $75 brand new and shipped to my door by a vendor on Ebay. They are heavy, never move, and feel great under my feet. The only complaint anybody could possible have is the coverage doesnt' go all the way to the door sills, but who really cares? I mean, how messy are you guys? It's not very often I dump an entire Big Gulp soda directly on the floor of my truck. However, I'm always getting in an out with wet and sometimes muddy shoes (look where I live), and these mats are GREAT! I much prefer the subtle OEM look too.

post-25316-14215134862399_thumb.jpg I feel left out, I don't get to buy a new mat, freaking longhorn package came with mat in my RAM, but I am a fan of both weather guard and weather tech and have had both over the years and had grey service from both.

I tend to agree with you. The Sony system is really good for a factory system... Light years ahead of the Bose system in my new Chevy SS.

Here's a cheap, easy tip to making the factory sub sound better.

I filled my factory sub box with 16 oz of fiber fill this weekend. Best $5 mod you will find. Bass response is much better, not crazy bass, but noticeably better.
