The more I use the malivue on my LSV the less I like it. What a PITA to get all the info that was just in front of you before.

I was afraid of this... definitely one of my concerns with the new LSV.

When I was out on one recently (only for an hour), I couldn't figure out how to see my RPM's. I also had trouble finding hours and water/air temp. I know those things are in Malivue, but I'm used to seeing that stuff without having to toggle screens.

Oh well... we can hope for a firmware update, but I'm not holding my breath.

If you need information regarding motor, depth, etc, just hit the gauges button. not much more to it than that. It is definitely a learning curve, but once you get use to it. I too like analog gauges, so if the 15 VLX changes to the LSV/VTX dash, i'll be even more glad I did not wait. Although on the next upgrade, I'll have to deal with it

Thanks for all of the information, I am thinking of replacing my 2011 23 LSV with 2014 247 LSV. I just didn't want to buy a new boat and have the new model for that platform come out in July when the 2015's start. I know how they like to keep the new stuff a secret.

I doubt there will be a new 247 this year. Why mess with a good thing?

247 was redux in 2011. New interior and top deck. I give it another year or two.
