answer to wifi instead of BT? Airenabler

I'm happy with it. ONLY complaint, there is a half second delay when using your ipod, phone, whatever, to change tracks or adjust volume. As far as connectivity and signal strength, other than hacking an airport express, I like it. I haven't researched anything new since, so if there is something better that does air play (other than the airport) I'm all ears

I do not remember if I mentioned it, but I did have to add an isolator to remove some noise. It was a $30 part I got on ebay, but sound is clear as day since

the airenabler basically creates its own wifi network in the boat. For me, my data coverage at the lake is nonexistent, so airenabler would just be an alternative to bluetooth (which I've been pretty happy with, all things considered) for wirelessly streaming music that's on my phone to my stereo. Same basic function as bluetooth, but without the bluetooth compression.

What is the isolator u added?

Just ordered one of these. Seems like a nice way to get around the finicky MDG Bluetooth connection.

So I am currently experiencing problems with my Air Enabler, got a new phone and now when I switch tracks the air enabler disconnects and starts playing through the phone. I then have to reconnect to the air enabler. If the tracks switch on their own it does not lose connection. Anyone have this issue.

I changed the power source on an Airport Express to USB. I carry the airport for wireless audio wherever I need it. I used it in my Axis when the Sony headunit would not play nice with the wired connection to my phone. Ill have to compare the new kicker bluetooth to the airport via AUX input this spring on the new boat.

I've been using this little unit in my truck for the past several months and plan to add one to the boat this season.

It's worked great for me and it's been easy to switch between devices. Only complaint I have is that it takes 30 sec to start working when initially powered up.
