Compared to the two xstars and the g currently frequenting my area that boat is a work of art. And to throw gas on the fire the green MC with green interior was absolutly pulling tubes all day. the g and the orange mc with orange interior? no one could ride or DRIVE. Had shouting matches with the drivers of both boats. That's how the stereotypes are justified.

We have a brand new X-25 on our lake.... or on a lift anyway. I don't think I've seen it actually on the water even one time all year. I bet their going to get thru the summer with single digit hours.

You can't compare them to any malibu's ,as they have huge ballasts and heavy boats !

All the main events are pulled by xstar's and g.s ...

Say it's not so! Say you made that up! I was really thinking about jumping brands because MC pulled the pro tour. I thought it was the best, not the million dollars they paid to get the contract for X amount of years.

The best example of this is how the "riders choice" awards choose the 2012 x star as boat of the year, and they didn't even release the boat because they had so many issues with it. Debuted the boat, realized there where issues, did not release the boat, and still won boat of the year. I, I don't understand..... Oooooohhh yeah, money. Wouldn't want to tarnish that reputation as the best

All of us are critical of of malibu's, and we own them. My thought is it is what helps keep Malibu on point

I have only read the first page....but what I picked up was make Malibu more like the G's. Dude, the G boat is awesome but it's about 8000 lbs. It's more like a Yacht/Ski Boat. How many units have they moved? Why does Malibu sell so well? Yeah, SG boats need a little more bow ballast. Get a sac or some friends and its over.

now the point of the post was that some of us want boats like the g and xstar ..., and you would be supriced how many they have sold ...

since we are Malibu owners... we would prefer to move onto a smilar boat that Malibu can offer...

because now it offers nothing like the g or xstar ...

so once again we are not changing the Malibu line we are asking for a factory boat ,with huge ballast tanks (even if we don't fill them all he way ) , something

The wakeboard boat market is a tiny niche market. The people who want more ballast (me and many of the people on the crew) are a tiny niche in a tiny niche. The people who want to spend G or X-Star pricing for a boat are a tiny niche in a tiny niche. The people who like the power tower are . . . well, there aren't any (just kidding). Point being, as a boat manufacturer, a tiny niche area within the wakeboard boat market may be nice to have (especially if you have the niche mostly to yourself), but most boat manufacturers are going to concentrate their designs on the biggest part of the market, not on the tiny parts of the market. If the people on this forum were representative of the overall market, instead of just a small segment of it, boats would look a lot different than they do.

I did a quick search on google for issues with the x star tower and a thread started by Malibu CC was on the first page. You basically say the xstars and Gs are junk, cracking hulls and towers that break, now your on here saying others wise? Below are your own words dude. Mastercraft owners/dealers are having huge problems with illmor engines !!!
ilmor will not help or deal with dealers or owners and they need to go to mastercraft direct ..mastercraft will
not answer ....mastercraft is going down the drain ..it has been sold too many times and has nearly filed for
default as well afew rimes... they couldnt even get the 2012 xstar ready for 2012... ..

now nautique is having problems with the pcm catanium engine ... it doesnt work right ..too many problems..
and as for warranty ,,,no comment ..


this info is from dealers in europe that are having big problems that i spoke to recently...

seriously they bring out a 2012 xstar that never makes it to production...
correct craft brings out G23 that the hull cracks and transmissions blow...

Congrats to malibu for the MXZ ..they either got very lucky or did their home worK!
amazing smooth ride over double ups and rough water ! excellent boat !!
cant wait to order mxz24!!

I don't find it all puzzling that all Malibu's look somewhat the same. It's called branding, Have you ever looked at Ford cars and trucks, BMW's cars and SUV's ? Starbucks coffe cups and snack bags? Hell, even Subway sandwiches .......regardless of the model. THEY ALL HAVE BRAND SIMILARITY!

I don't think the new G or xstar is what has made CC and Mastercraft popular. More like reliable ski boats that they have been making for decades. Huge surf boats are for a much smaller much more recent group. Can't believe the kind of money we are talking.

Malibu is a much smaller Industry than Mercedes, BWM and Porsche and OBVIOULSY , they dont need a. "Showpiece" to sell boats.For the record, Malibu has built a few " niche" boats..... Google "Malbu Corvette".
