I just had to chime in on the music situation. I enjoy many different genres of music, but I have learned that there is definitely an art to creting playlists............Unfortunately, I've learned that I'm no Van Gogh! LOL

I'm thinking that the guys running pandora or the like have possibly found THE way to go. But, I'm not technologically advanced enough for that!

My problem with the playlist is my standard crew is 9 other college students...everyone of them with a different taste in music. Thats why I went the bluetooth route because someone was always trying to tell me to change the song, but I needed to focus on driving not shuffling music. Now when someone says that to me, I hand them the ipod and say you're in charge now.

You're in college & can afford your own boat? I always joke (to my guy friends only) that I cannot wait till my daughter is in college & bringing her friends to the lake. Giggity

we are there with college girls now. I am a sick old man....lol. I am music challenged (stuck in the 80's)and my stereo sucks.. I am too much of a one trick pony and music distracts me when pulling so it is often turned down when boarding. we mostly have it up when chilling out. hopefully can start upgrading this summer.

I do hat the hu placement but just use the remote.

I am fortunate enough that my dad is a 70+ water temp kind of person so we have our '03 and the family uses it in the summer and before I went to college it basically went into storage until summer came around again. And then I went to college, found a wakeboard club up here and they were in need of boats and so the boat now is used march-november (even used once in december last year). I'm definitely a lucky guy being fortunate enough for my dad allowing me, he just said, it was bought to be used and not to sit.

I have never thought about taking the arm rest off, but my first problem with the stereo was my buttons sat too high so the arm rest would press them, so I had to put little spacers things in there so that wouldn't happen.

The stereo thing sucked for sure. I went and replaced with a head unit that had a remote. Just wired an "eye" for the remote to the top o the dash and no issues. Also ran an aux cable for an iPod an just controlled volume through that. Of course that was then, and this is now, so you can get a nice blu tooth setup and not even worry about where the stereo is
