Extreme Trailer problem!

I just had a roller added to the front cross member that my boat hit. Ryan Trailers here locally welded on the roller - did a great job (I'll try and get some photos) for $370. The other issue he brought up on these trailers was the torsion axle's - not if but when they will fail. I will probably have him take out those axles (when i fail) and replace with standard leaf springs. My buddy has an '07 and his failed 2 yrs ago - so I'm sure its just a matter of time for mine. Has anyone had this happen? and if so - is there a "fix" on the road you can do if it fails - like a block or something? I would like to be prepared if it does happen - i don't think there is anyway to chain it up is there??

Here is the fix that Ryan Trailers did for me.post-11426-0-66753800-1349929104_thumb.j

On my trailer the other lateral cross member you see is for the spare tire on the trailer.

Hello Everyone, I've been dealing with extreme trailers since 2006. I blow out a tire approx every 100 miles. The geometry is definitely not aligned properly and they have ignored these issues for years. Fox News In LA is doing a huge story on boat trailer issues. I have been interviewed and provided pictures/ receipts. There is a class action law suit in progress but not against Malibu or extreme. Its on the centurion side and their tires actually coming off while in tow. I'd love to throw this back at extreme for the thousands of $$ i've spent. Let me know if you're interested in telling your story. 310-902-8861 or [email protected]

I gotta agree. Not only do their trailers suck but so does the attitude. Want it fixed under warranty, no problem just bring it to us. What, you are a few hundred miles away, oh sorry to bad.

The bow v is poorly designed and the bow eye catches it when launch ing boat. Had it rewelded numerous times. Replaced wood bunk numerous times from bow eye busting it up.

The way diamond plate is installed promotes rust of step.

Cheesey mounted undermount spare. Mine broke off under tow. Duct tape is better than that flimsy hinge you used.

My brake caliper bolt tab broke under tow.

Malibu, find another vendor for west coast boats.
