I saw a guy the other day lay down a weird looking mat onto the beach and then pull his boat up on that. It looked like a thin rubber mat that had like carpet on one side. It was about 4'X8'...

That's a pretty good idea! Maybe a rubber truck bed mat would do the trick? Although when it was time to leave it would prob be a pain to bring in the boat.

Guys don't stress, boat isn't beached as I too will never want my hull scratched. There is someone at the front holding the boat not in the picture.

It is actually deceiving as that's the boat ramp in front, the beach is a fair bit further up and deeper..
