I have been going to ask for awhile now, and since it has somewhat been brought up, wheres your name come from? I am assuming you are a bit of a nitrous freak, Its a nasty habit (Drag car, truck, ATV all have it :) )

I've had the screen name for 10+ years. Started with my 94 Firebird Formula I bought in college (back in 1999). Still have her, but she hasn't ran in the past few years. One of those deals where I have all the parts to put her together, but not the time and desire to tackle that project. 6-speed, 12-bolt, 6-point cage, was a heads/cam/150 shot car. Never did get it fully right as I was having issues with the heads, only got her to trap 122 and there was more in it for sure (was also choking it with a stock intake manifold and stock throttle body).

New setup is a 383, heavily worked over AFR210 heads w/ worked LT4 intake, Procharger D1SC (twin intercooled, 12-rib setup) - all is setup to max out the supercharger on pump gas. Still have the nitrous; eventual plan is to spray it after I'm bored with the 650-700 RWHP I should get out of the this setup; probably do a dedicated fuel cell for the fuel side of the nitrous and hit it with either C16 or alcohol.

Right on, I've still got my 87 Iroc I bought back in high school. The last time the car was on the road it was an LT1 383 stroker with AFR210 heads, LT4 intake, vortech T trim blower, intercooled, water meth injection, through an RPM stage 5 T56 and backed by a Moser 12 bolt. Made 658 rwhp and went 11.96 @ 132 mph on 18" radial street tires. Now its all appart like yours awaiting my motivation to put the new LSX 416 stroker, AFR 225 heads, procharger F1 setup in

Great pictures! At the risk of derailing the thread (which I'm obviously doing!) I have to pay tribute to Jon Lord. Rock music has lost one of its most intelligent, talented and eloquent performers at such a relatively young age.71 is relatively young in this day and age, right?? Only saw him perform live once, fantastic show. Your pictures are a great tribute. The boat's pretty cool as well!!

I agree, Jon's song is one of the best rock tunes of all time. With the morning mist and rising sun, I couldn't get his song out of my head last week when I took the shots. And now a week later, Jon's gone and the song will never be played quite the same...

Nice. My old setup was stock shortblock, ported stock heads, stock intake, stock throttle body, CC306 cam, ram-air setup w/ long tubes + 3" true duals, self tuned, 12-bolt w/ 3.73's, 6-speed car. Heavier than stock, ran 11.2x @ 122. She had 10's and a bit more MPH in her, but I had some head issues that finally got me to just pull the motor and go the new route. One day I might actually put her back together and enjoy the car.

I have a close friend with a heavily modded IROC. SBC w/ glide car, looks fairly stock (cowl hood, weld wheels, and blacked out - full interior but the 10 point cage kind of gives it away). High 8's @ 153 on the bottle, 100% setup to be a street racing car which made it very easy to run on the track but slowed it down a lot too...that said he got enough rep around town that the only races he ever got were with modded bikes (and usually for big bucks). He has given up the street racing thing (scene went to crap locally) and after getting into track racing and finding out how much his setup is holding him back he took her apart for a new setup - SBC with a really big single on it. Probably another year before she is back together, but should be a low 8's / high 7's car when done. 100% street car of course. :)

Hate do date myself but the 1st time I saw Deep Purple was in 1969 and John had his trademark church organ tied down with huge tugboat like ropes so he could actually lean it all over the place. Saw them about 4-5 times total Ian Gillan was the original Jesus on the soundtrack Jesus Christ Superstar. Few could scream and hold a note like that. Richie Blackmore, Roger Glover and Ian Paice rounded out the guitar, bass and drums. Ok back to the future and back to boating!! P.S. That song I'm sure you know is about the casino in switzerland that burned down after a Zappa concert. Deep Purple was going to record their next album there. Ok , I have to go take my geritol now and go lie down!!
