Better than Malibu

You guys do realize that he put those in the title to have anyone that types Malibu, Supra, etc in the search, his boat pops up. If he had just put Malibu, Supra in the title, ebay would of delisted his listing, but since he put a comparison, albeit a bad one, is a gray area.

Not my style of tactic, but it does work.

Try it: Type malibu boat. All boats listed, are malibus, but his.

It is in good shape, but my Malibu has 600 hours more than his boat and not a split upholstery seem yet. Maybe the rest of the boat is better than mine but the seats are not!

How does he get off calling it a ski boat? It's a family bow rider . Certainly in decent shape. Todays 350 MAG puts out 300 horsepower, no way the 350 from 1997 puts out 300 horsepower. No way that boat goes 60 miles an hour. You guys must al feel pretty silly sinking big bucks into your malibus only to find out they are not as good as a Maxum.

I sold my cousin's Marlin Skier on eBay and used the same tactic, though I didn't say the Marlin was "better" than anything. I said it was "similar to Malibu or Mastercraft" which was true since it was a direct drive ski boat. My goal was to find someone who wanted a ski boat but didn't want to pay for a name brand boat. I can't say whether my tactic worked but I sold the boat.

There is a differance between saying that something is simmilar too and better than. One being a description for those that don't recognize the name or style but would recognize the names used to help describe. The other? rather subjective in this since but could bring in leagle problems if it was done by a dealer or manufacturer.

Nope.Nope. The correct term is Runabout. And you guys know how accurate those flip down speedos are!!
