Decreasing Boat Noise

I think Jerry got his inline silencers from Rex Marine, IIRC. Here is a link to take a look at.

Which are totally different from the STE inlines, but perhaps Jerry can provide input on these.

Peter, thanks for posting that information. What I hear you saying is that the only inlines available are whatever is left on dealer's shelves?

Here's another question... If I already have the stock Primex mufflers in my '99 RLX, would there be a worthwhile gain by replacing them with Silent Riders? Or, would installing inlines on the existing setup get me into the same ballpark?

I doubt you'll find _any_ dealer with inlines in stock. I was probably the only one that _ever_ had a pair as stock units, but I could be wrong.

In terms of worthwhile replacing the std mufflers with Silent Riders....that's hard to answer. It's a completely subjective question, opinion, and answer. 10 guys will probably give you 10 answers....differently. For my money up front, I don't stock a boat without silent rider mufflers, but I don't know if I'd ante up for them after the fact. Probably depends on the environment you run in, and the scenario in which you use the boat.

Peter, how are they different? Is there no other alternative to the STE inline now?
