Top end speed

I just went from a 537 to a 2277 on my 08 247 with Hammerhead.  Very similar pitch (1/4" lower) but 1.5" larger diameter.  Was looking for more board speed thrust without much loss of top speed.  Very surprised the boat is faster at every RPM and picked up a bit on the top end too.  49.x MPH with bimini up at 5000 RPM (indicated on screen measured by paddlewheel vs GPS) with 30% fuel and 1 person on board.  That is 3-4 MPH faster than the 537 was.  Cruise is almost 500 RPM lower for the same speed.  Very pleased.
