If the Titan Series 3 Tower was still a option...

No one has mentioned a couple of critical items.

1. The TIII is a little taller. Hence, I did not want a boat without it.

2. If you like an HLCD blasting in your ear at 100+ decibels, then drive a boat with the Illusion. The higher mounts are even further forward, so it negates the advantage of having the speaker higher. I have a friend with the Illusion and we never hear music when riding because it kills the driver and anyone sitting any other place but the bow. WIth the speakers high on the crossbar of the T3, I am nice and comfy in my seat, and my riders are enjoying the tunes. The speaker issue was a deal breaker for me. If I had found a boat I wanted with the Illusion, I would have removed it.

3. It is not so much an issue now, but when it first came out, you had to have special mounts for the Illusion racks, speakers, and lights. I am sure they are all more than regular tube based accessories to this day.

I have the Titan 3 on my 06 V-Ride and its been great.

The engineering of the bends and the lock mechanisms are 1st class and well thought out.

Not much bling here but maybe that's the name of the game anyway?

Just check out the Mastercraft "transformers" model and the overly engineered current Malibu tower.

Malibu may not have enough orders to justify a new production run.
