UPDATE: shawndoggy tracked me down a nice Clarion Marine amp. I've hooked it up and it appears to run great without the motor running. I also wired the boat speakers through it and they run well too.

Thanks shawn.

I just have some minor tweaking to do, but it at least appears I may not have to replace the battery yet.
