Good looking boat, congrats! Curious on your comment about going back to 15's... for some people it's not their style or they don't want to spend the extra money, but sounds like you like the looks and the money is already spent. Other than replacement tire cost and/or a garage height restriction, I've found the trailer with 18's (and wider tires) will track better and bounce much, much less when towing. Anyways, enjoy it!

Thanks, but we need a spare and just can't justify $350 for one 18" wheel when I know my daughter will be towing the boat as well :(...  15's are much more forgiving than the 18's.

Hoping to still have a few more trips this year, but I'm not sure.  Lakes are low due to drought, fires in the high country (you can see the smoke in this photo), hunting season just around the corner, and my better half likes to spend the fall enjoying the colors.

As an aside, I forget how much BETTER the truck tows the boat than the SUV.....

The Malibu is probably put away for the season. Taking the fishing boat this weekend. Barely have enough truck to get it done though.

At first glance on a small phone the tree makes the motor hood look huge. I was like whoa, a 450 on a little Ranger. Wonder how it floats...

Picked the wife up this last week.  Really like the updates they have done for '21.  We are coming from the generation before Yukon where our lease was expiring.  Sharing as the wife really likes it case any one you are in the market.  It isn't going to tow a thing.

Is it just me, or does anyone else  think this reads a bit like something off Backpage?

My experience, at least in Texas, is that the roads suck and that 18' wheels tend to get bent due to potholes, etc.  The 15's ride better and take more pothole abuse, not to mention both 15" tires and wheels are much less expensive than the 18's that were on there.

You would think so, but the overall diameter is different so there actually isn't that much difference in sidewall when you put them side to side. I compared them closely on this boat. I've had 2 with and 2 without.

I would also argue that the 18" wheels tow better in my opinion. It's a larger, wider tire, with comparable sidewall. It's not night and day, but it's noticeable.

15" are slightly softer/smoother (slightly), 18" tows/tracks better. Just my opinion after owning 2 and 2.

Overall diameter is the same on the 15's I went with vs. the 18's that were on there which gives me 1.5" more of sidewall protection and it tracks just the same.
