. . . he (Jack, 10) caught it

Do you or anybody pull these mats behind the boat, not like a tube but to get from point A to point B?  Or are all of you just blowing them up on site?
I have one that I would like to take out when we go floating but it stays tied up to our dock for the kids to play on there.  My wife thinks it would be to much of a PIA to bring it with, but I think we could slow pull it behind the boat.

We don't pull it.  We blow up on site, typically mid-day for a couple hours, then deflate and pack it up for more surfing.  I do think you could slow pull it, with nobody on it of course.

Same here.  We have a high speed inflate/deflate pump, so no need to even try to pull it.

Ours is at the dock for swimming too, but I'll frequently pull it out to other parts of the lake.  We just toss the leading edge of it on the platform and snug it up to the stern to keep it from submarining.  We've drug it around for a booze cruise too with lawn chairs, but use the small fishing boat for that as you have to idle slow and make sure weight is a little rear-biased.

We have a power pump, inflate/deflate is fast.
