He already did. About a month ago.

I guess that settles it then. Its a matter of risk/reward. Not worth it. Thanks for the input.

I agree with all the "nay" folks. Way too risky. Risk/reward kinda thing.

Also..... regardlessof their experience.... what happens f during the week they rent it, that's the week the impeller decides it's going to shred itself..... motor overheats..... guy doesn't watch the gauges (like you do), and bingo.... fried the engine. He says not his fault because you loaned him a boat with an impending problem..... you say why didn't you watch the gauges. Not a happy ending. Change the impeller scenario with any number of semi-normal mechanical situations that decide to just happen while in his hands.... he claims not his fault...you say yes.

Or..... one of HIS guests decides to drop a ski fin on the motor box..... or they have a little collision with the dock....

Not worth it.

Having said that..... might I rent out my pontoon boat (a bought used.... a former marina rental).... maybe.

Would I rent out my 15 year old Coleman canoe? Yes, if the price was right.

But my Malibu...... no way !!!

I saw a copy of the State Farm policy today.

Rental is clearly excluded in the policy language.
