Has anyone purchased from a non local Malibu dealer? Anything to know that is different from a local dealer?

Just got this email from my local dealer, apparently they are moving the Tommy's boats around if other dealers are willing to take them

A friend’s CC200 does the same thing, makes me think the throttle assembly may be a culprit.

Is your throttle electronic or mechanical cables? If it is cables, the end nuts are probably worn out. If it is electronic, the assembly may be loose or worn. I would think that the rheostat is adjustable for dead band, but I have not looked in one.

Try places like iboats, wholesale marine and google mercruiser parts + cooling hoses or similar buzz words. If all else fails you can get lucky at a good auto parts store. -

My throttle has about a 1” dead spot once it’s engaged in drive before it starts to accelerate. My buddy’s MC does the same thing. It’s a bit of a PITA for skiing as it’s a little unpredictable when the boat will engage. Is there an adjustment setting somewhere to eliminate this?

Having trouble finding eng parts (intake hose , off crank w/p) for mu boat. Any recommendations?

@IXFE - the list of the 4 that don’t get a replacement dealership? Bummer for those customers. @Txstoj - I would not have guessed that, all the ski schools and water access in Florida. Interesting.

What tower is that I bought a 93 echelon recently and my tower mounts are in the same spot but I can't find a tower that matches the mount location
-
My experience is more weight in the bow helps tracking in most boats but if it lifts the aft/transom too much the wake gets adversely impacted especially at the -22 "bump". So there is a tradeoff. Usually the best bet is get the boat as balanced forward and aft as you can get it.

Nevada and Arizona. Our seasons are in full swing already and they were some of the first to lock up. Clearly Malibu had plans already. Inquiries into Malibu about taking over the local territory and the business were met with "Thanks, we're good."
-
Dwight built himself a carbon fiber platform, motor box, gutted the transom area, stripped a ton of weight off the engine, and put a gas tank under the bow and apparently it tracks great and hauls the mail.

Port side seat back adjustment
csleaver replied to tgaffin's topic in Maintenance, Tech Info & Troubleshooting
I have seen similar problems with Malibu and Axis Wake-View seats and it tends to happen when the seat bracket is bent or damaged. Once the bracket is bent, the seat can't be pushed down far enough to reset. Replacing the bracket tends to be the fix. -

Malibu GX tower warning message
csleaver replied to Malibutech96's topic in Maintenance, Tech Info & Troubleshooting
Just below where the tower is mounted, on the starboard side, there is a single Delphi connector on the deck wiring harness with a brown/yellow wire labeled "GX Signal". It needs to be connected to the tower harness tan/blue wire labeled "TWR UP SIG". There is also a single purple/white wire below the port tower mount labeled "GX Signal power" that needs to be connected to the tower harness. If either one is not connected, then it will cause a GX Tower Down alarm. Check that first.- 2 replies

Okay folks… update from my source: All markets are filled… it’s down to onboarding (both new and former staff), facilities adjustments, etc. Announcements will start rolling out in phases… starting in a few days we should see a new one every couple of days thru mid June. There’s a total of 12 new stores coming. So the next four weeks is gonna be fun! Let’s make this interesting… any guesses who’s first??

It's a fine product. Amazing how over a long period of time these machines hold their value. When you throw in the possible priceless moments value it's a no brainer. I mean what else is there to do ? Steve B.

Unless you plan to sell before paying it off who cares? It isn't an investment.

@23LSVOwner if your source has the wiring diagram for a 2005 Malibu Sunscape 23LSV I would be most interested.

Malibu GX tower warning message
Malibutech96 posted a topic in Maintenance, Tech Info & Troubleshooting
Working on a 2022 Malibu M220 with a GX tower throwing a warning message. The warning message reads GX tower is down even though my tower is up. I can only get the message to pop when I’m out running the boat, today was very calm no chop and the message was popping. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.- 2 replies

OK, got the wheels off today. Below is the back one on the starboard side. Here I am spinning it to listen for bearing issues. All I heard was the break pads rubbing a bit. Here I am checking on the loose torsion arm: After a nice struggle, I was able to tighten the arm bolt. 15/16 inch breaker bar and box wrench, plus 2-foot pipe to put some torque on it. I was able to replace the vault cap that was missing.

Nope. Paid cash as Covid lockdown started. My boat was caught in the factory shut down.
