First number that came to mind is $19,995. I haven't looked at any comps, but I know it can cost a lot to do all the things you have done. I don't especially love the tower, and the hours are pretty low for that age which makes me leery too.

I completely agree with your take. As I look at it, I’m having trouble coming to terms with offering it for sale. At the same time however, I know someone will love it and create just as many amazing memories as we did. That’s a good feeling! Thanks brother for the feedback

Fuel Injectors for 320HP Monsoon 5.7L engine
kcpilotpat replied to MoonDawg's topic in Maintenance, Tech Info & Troubleshooting
Well, we shall see on the flow rate. I was excited to find something that close. Too add to task, the injetors don't fit. When I talked to the tech at Indmar, he explained somewhere along the line the pilot on the injector was enlarged by GM. He expected that my year would be one of them affected. He advised reaming the hole using a shop vac to collect the cuttings. The injector hole in the intake is stepped. The smallest hole is for the seal. This size matched. There is a pilot above the seal. The OD of pilot of the replacement injectors is 5/8". The hole in my manifold and the pilot on the old injectors were 1/32 under. That step is in process now. I will grab some photos. -

Water coming from Supercharger
Manzacoty replied to Manzacoty's topic in Maintenance, Tech Info & Troubleshooting
No. It’s not flat and I think they will be back in stock in a few weeks. I JB welded the cracks today and started on the hose today with no leaks. Hopefully that will hold it until they are restocked. -
2011 21 VLX potential purchase...opinions please
69charged replied to 69charged's topic in General Discussion Area
Well, brought it home today! Kids were pretty excited! Taking it out tomorrow to a small lake local to us. Towed good with my gladiator. Need some kind of tow mirrors. Or a camera facing backwards? Now a days there must be something like that? Anyway, really appreciate everyone’s help and guidance on purchasing this boat. I have plans for it, but those can probably wait till winter. -
First, whoever ends up as owner will be very fortunate. A machine like this one's value is whatever a buyer would pay. It would be the perfect boat for a lot of people. If I was to ever upgrade... I'd ask a whole lot, and adjust to the buyer you think would be the best. I would ask near 30. Steve B.

Good evening all, It's been a while since I've been on here. Many of you are familiar with my little journey on this boat, since buying it for the fam back in 2020ish. First boat ever. Just got her back after a year. I've been having my boat guy run through the Malibu, getting it ready to sell. Would like to have a little fun and see what you all think I could sell it for. In Arizona! Without going into too much detail and getting too winded...... 2001 Malibu Sunsetter VLX 450+ hours All new; Vinyl Flooring Side Carpeting Tower with Racks Hinges Stereo System Wiring throughout Batteries and placement Bilge Bimini Water pump Decals Window tint And a bunch more What do you guys think I could sell her for?

That, and a stainless key would defeat the whole reason for the key - which is to shear if needed. - Yesterday

No reason for steel unless want issues like he had. Non stainless steel guaranteed to rust and corrode till prop is seized. Stainless key better than standard steel but still not recommended. -

SkipGundlach started following DIY line/handle supplier? Sound fuelish?
-
In a prior life, I was able to build custom handles and lines via Ski Rope Parts or some similar name. In particular, I made the equivalent of an EZUp handle for my wife, enabling her to learn how to get up and out on a slalom ski. Does any outfit sell line and handles and the like for those such as I am? Also, someone with a manual likely knows, but what fuel is it that an 02 Sunscape LSV should use?? Thanks. L8R Skip

2014 A20 heater issues

Monsoon, looping sounds like the best option, might need to do it at the block end though, possibly a leak midway between block and heater, hard to follow pipes -

Monsoon engine, disconnected the 2 hoses at the dash end to winterise, core was empty. Put them back on to start the season and lots of steam coming from under the dash and through the vents, also noticed bilge filling with hot water. Wondering if I have put them back wrong, flow and return? But that wouldn't explain losing water? -
Made them up. Bought the wheels from amazon. Ultra-Fab Products (48-979015) Rigid Skid Wheel

You can run up to the local hardware store and buy 1/4" square brass rod. Cut it to length and maybe file it a bit to ensure good fit. -

Constant flow loop is probably better. Some engines require the heater loop to flow. SBC does not, but you didn't say what engine you have. -

Huzzah! After 3 rounds of WD40 soaks over 12 hours, and 30 minutes of taps with a hammer and punch I have a clean shaft ready for a new brass key and prop. Thanks to the crew - doing some outward facing taps on the key were key. I cleaned it up a bit after removal and confirmed steel. New key comes in a few days and I should be set. I was worried about the shaft strut, bushing and drive shaft but I have very little play in the shaft and had no vibration underway so I should be clear with just a new prop and a minor repair on the old. -

I am running a acme 3407 15.5" x13 prop, same prop I ran on my 2020 T22 heavily weighted and had no issues. My new T220 I am actually running less weight, and the issue happens with no weight in boat also. -
