    Tommys vs Malibu

As others have pointed out above the class action "lawsuit" looks like an ambulance chasing outfit - look them up on Twitter, that law firm does this a lot - but I am also a staunch believer that where there is smoke, there is fire. Tommy's accuses Malibu of channel stuffing. There is "evidence" that Springer told his team he was not willing to slow production despite dealer concerns over volume and ability to floor the throughput. Not long after, Malibu's CFO resigns and Springer does too. That smells awfully acrid to my nose. I don't know how this shakes out in the end (other than it's pretty clear now that Tommy's is in a world of hurt or is just flat-out already extinct) but I also don't think Malibu comes out of this unscathed.
  4. My fuel rails are just extruded aluminum, IIRC. Each rail should have fuel fittings at each end and four holes for injectors along the length. Is the pin hole just at some random place in the rail, or next to a fitting? If it is somewhere away from the important parts, drill it, thread it, and put a small machine screw in it with some goop to seal it. The real question is why one would get a pinhole leak in the first place. Please post a photo of the rail and show where the leak is.

post a pic of your lifts bunks

last thing to take note of, just make sure lift motors, cables, etc. can handle whatever weight of boat you may upgrade to.

post a pic of your lifts bunks

p.s. from what i can tell from the one pick you posted, that should be a good starting point, might even work with no adjustments. Possibly just slide bunks in or out a bit

post a pic of your lifts bunks

@asp13 you don't really need the bunks tall enough for tracking fin(s) to clear crossbar, you just need to be able to lower the lift low enough in the water that the tracking fins don't hit the crossbar when docking or leaving. As for the rest of the running gear (Prop and rudder) they can just stay behind the rear crossbar (i.e. don't pull too far forward). The bunks really only need to be high enough so hull is not resting on crossbars and have enough room for prop shaft clearance etc. Make sense?

It's all documented in the lawsuits; I have only made possible predictions if the allegations of Tommy's and the shareholders are found to be true. Speaking of allegations? Do you have proof that Tommy's "pressed the button to make the boats show up"? Do you have proof that Malibu wasn't culpable? Have you read the filings? Why only Tommy's? Maybe they were venerable. Maybe other dealers were smarter than Tommy's. Maybe Malibu couldn't pressure a dealer such as MarineMax because they are a public company. If you think Malibu is going to be the same company on the other side of this, invest all your money in MBUU!
  9. The neutral safety plug connects to the ZF Ski Command harness which has the same wire colors and is also part of the same harness with the ASTERN and AHEAD shift solenoid connections. Models that use a mechanical shift cable (instead of electric shift) will still have a short yellow and black jumper harness that connects to the neutral safety switch and the engine harness. The transmission temperature switch will have black wires and are not color coordinated to the plug on the engine harness.
  10. I am if he isn't, and if you have flow reports for them. By the way, @NAM75, the other active injector thread has plenty of new information.
  11. And you also used FJ164 injectors, or another part number?

He would need to make sure that his bunks are tall enough for the tracking fins to clear the crossbar. The only other thing is to make sure that the rear crossbar isn't so far back that it bumps the running gear. It would need to be pretty far back to do that if it is low enough for the fins. The easy button is either replace the bunks with thicker ones or stack more boards on top. My trailer has 4x6 bunks to help with clearance.

Seems like so many people do not understand that you can look at every bit of the insider trading activity that happens. Not exactly seeing any "pump and dump" myself....

I put a pair of Radar Vapor boots on my late 1980s Connelly Shortline II ski about six or seven years ago. I got the boots basically new on SIA from a guy who had bought them as previous year's stock and then found that they didn't fit him. I think I paid $250 for the pair. I put a lot of thought into boot position when I mounted them, so it wound up bringing new life to the ski. The ski is still a lot better than I will ever be. As for the Speedos, why not wear them for the support and slide on a pair of spandex shorts over them for the admiral? If you sometimes forget to add the spandex and get the glare from her, you know that she is still paying attention.

Thanks to both! I much prefer the full support of boots rather than toe loops... And the support of the Speedo - but I got outranked by the Admiral who made me give away 4 still-in-wrapper and two lightly used, now in entirely pedestrian might-as-well-be-naked no-support (loose mesh) trunks. As to the length, my HO (Extreme? I don't recall and it's been a VERY long time since I last saw it) was old school, straight line until the tips, with very little taper to either, so likely the more current style could accommodate me with less length. Plus, I'm probably ~20 pounds lighter, now. I forget the length of the ski on which I tore the binding, but for sure it's wider (the son from whom it came was ~250 but only a 12 foot - and these bindings were the wide-range, bungee-laced variety). But, as the title sez, SOON I'll be able to pursue more directly...
  16. Yes, pin hole leak. The mechanic is leery of making a repair due to the 60 psi fuel pressure. Also, Indmar no longer makes these parts so we are hoping to find one used. Any suggestions are appreciated.

Skip, two things. Look at Lands End swim trunks. They have some that will give the support of speedos and not scare the neighbor ladies. (Just kidding). Radar has open toe boots that go up to size 14, and matching rear boots if you want one or rear toe plates. They also have 71” skis but you may find a more modern 68-69 would be worth a try too.
  19. Are all the wires color coordinated?

Let’s tap the brakes a bit… You’re throwing out some serious allegations without a shred of evidence. Either share your evidence of “pump and dump fraud” or post a picture of your tinfoil hat. To those of us who DO buy more than one boat every century and DO have knowledge of the inner workings of how boats are ordered and how the Malibu -to- Dealer business model is set up… your version of events just doesn’t line up. Also, isn’t it interesting that only ONE dealer is in this kind of trouble….??? Having a quota and pressure to hit market share is normal. THE DEALER HAS TO PUSH THE BUTTON TO MAKE A BOAT SHOW UP.

    SOON!!

I'd forgotten about the ski-it site; Play-it-again-sports is something we've used before, too. However, I'm curious about your pricing, unless their page isn't real, because full boots were upwards of 3 large, and the ski itself as well. Size 14s doesn't enhance easy cost/find of anything not custom... My son has a more recent HO with an adjustable large boot set; I tore the outer shell getting into the front one (since repaired, but making me reluctant to do it again for fear of ripping the other boot, too). But I'll wander around the SIA and the three PIASport stores in GA when I get up there, to see if there's anything worth trying. We have to get a bimini, too, so there will be various stuff before we start shredding. Thanks for the bounce. L8R Skip

From what I can see that is a bunch of ambulance chasing lawyers jumping in hoping to make a $$$ if they can.

I am curious if the lawyers involved with the share holder suit have any evidence of the accused transactions. Or if they are just trying to jump on the bandwagon early and hope more info is found via discovery.
