Agreed. And even without that or what’s currently going on, exiting before or at the beginning of a potential contraction of the luxury boat industry if you had a good exit clause or strategy in place is what I’d call a smart move. Think about all the stress avoided with that decision.

  4. I was in the exact same situation. I tried every resource I could to track to the VIN but no luck. Hopefully it arrives soon. When I ordered my Raptor back in 2019 I got an email from Ford saying my truck was just picked up for transport. Literally less than an hour later I got a text from salesperson showing me video of the truck rolling off the carrier - obviously a little lag there. Unfortunately I was on jet leaving for Switzerland at that moment. I remember texting him that truck better not have more than 10 miles on it when I get back - It had 6

You guys quoting the CFO resignation as anyway part of this are simply grasping at straws. You have less than ZERO knowledge on this topic. If you knew the timing and the reasons he left you’d feel pretty dumb. That’s all I’m gonna say about this. As for Jack… resignation is an interesting word for his departure. You believe what you want.
  6. As we’ll note the auto bilge hot powered of the battery will not run, when the screen and gauges have gotten power it worked, boat would crank and start and then died again idling and back to the same. Had to pull it out to a hill to drain the hull from rain. Batteries are also brand new and setting at 12.5 volts
  7. Lost all power and gauges while running the boat, post winter and I run it once a month all winter in socal. Was idling, rpms dropped and lost all power and gauges. Power restored and happened again. only gotten power once back since Aux setting on the ign power runs radio no issue, back to main ign setting nothing other then radio has power lbut it won’t play and no gauges or screens. Been chasing This down a few weeks before it goes in and any advice will help. 2017 axis t23 all relays have good continuity. Ignition key unit was replaced post the issue after finding only 3v there. This is where it’s weird the ign key gets 12+ volts to the power coming to the ignition when in aux mode, only 3.3v when in main power across all 4 connections to the ign key. Same new and old ign. 4 pin connector has 12+v when checked. Have had the gauges get power and then shut off again a few times before and after replacing the ign once this started. Kill switch and throttle already checked kill switch is only getting same volts as the ign key to my understanding the surfgate screen is the main brain for my boat I’ve pulled it and disconnected and same voltage issue at the ign key. Ittl go to the dealer but they always walked me through all I’ve checked with a multimeter and are also perplexed. any ideas or anyone have the same issue past?

Mastercraft seems to be in a similar market position. Clearly market wide trouble bases on the March 8 earnings report for MC. . MASTERCRAFT BOAT HOLDINGS, INC. Awesome work man. Love watching this forum convince someone to take a bit of a gamble going outside their comfort zone and making it happen!
  10. Ok mine is going on week three for transport too. Per my dealer they can only see updates when GM makes them. I’ve had some friends that work at GM looking into too and they are basically kept in the dark too. I think the plants operate as very separate entities from corporate and the dealers which is kinda crazy to me but what do I know. I’m just chomping at the bit to get it. Really sucks because we have a four day camping trip next weekend. But oh well. I did just ask if we can use a loaner rather than rack up more miles on my truck…

@CarveItUp228 Congratulatuons, you are now better than 90% of the technicians out there! You fixed instead of replaced. Even with your learning and trial/error, you probably spent less than 10 hours at a shop rate of $180 fixing your boat. Perhaps even had a few beers while doing it. I may be sentimental here but I’m proud when I see people DIY it and it works out well. Great job!

Grab a can of LPS-3 and coat the motor and pump with it, especially where the wires and screws are. Freshen it up a few times a year.

OK, I just happened to have some (fairly old) OMC power trim fluid....and it was almost exactly the right amount. I didn't fill it completely full....left maybe half an inch of clearance with the top. Bolted the parts back together and tested with the bench battery and....it worked! Piston would extend or contract as I switch the leads on the battery terminals. I then decided to go ahead and put back on the boat. 2 Hours later I had it in place, wires back through the transom and connected...and....I tested it and...it worked! Hopefully that fluid is ok. I will test it on the water tomorrow!
  14. Mine sat waiting for transport for a couple weeks. I don’t recall how many exactly, but want to say about 3. My dealer wasn’t the best with communicating with me on the expected arrival, not sure if it was them or GM, but I found out it was delivered to the dealer when I drove through the parking lot on a random Saturday after a kids bowling birthday party on my way home.
  15. The injectors in the pictures look like the ones I used, I think I ordered 24.5lb injectors since I was putting in the ZZ4 cam.
  16. You have the LS1 engine, right? This should be what you need... If not,, see the second link and find your manual. https://www.bakesonline.com/media/resourcelibrary/Indmar_MEFI5-5Amanual.pdf https://www.bakesonline.com/bakes-resource-library https://www.bakesonline.com/media/resourcelibrary/Indmar_LS1RepairSpecs.pdf
  17. All the new injectors are the same standard diameter. Just a little big for the older manifolds. I'll try to find the part # for the injectors I used.
  18. @DAI how long did it take from order to delivery? I am about to go into week 10, and I have an email from GMC that my truck finished production on April 20th. It is apparently still sitting at the plant.

It looks like you found the smoking gun! That thermal cutoff looks like it wasn’t actually the weak link in that circuit. as for filling the fluid on reassembly, you will likely want the reservoir fill with the ram fully retracted. There shouldn’t be too much expansion when running it if it’s in the water being cooled down.
  20. I already had to change my hoist motor/gear drive.

The RV industry has a little more of a positive outlook. https://wsbt.com/news/local/movers-shakers-gather-rv-industry-power-breakfast-recreational-vehicle-hall-fame-elkhart-indiana#
  22. Does it have a water separating fuel filter? Check that, and try to take a sample of your gas. Water in the gas, happens this time of year for some. I had to add a ballast resistor to the wiring on my 90 Euro with a Merc., but a shop did it. Check the No-Start troubleshooting guide in the maintenance section on this site.
  23. I feel your pain. I'm hoist shopping because I'm at the limit of my current hoist with the 25.
  24. LOL, that would be true except I like the MXZ bow and 25 is pushing my dock/slip, even the 24 is pushing it. I had it built for a 23.

It’s starting to hit the pontoon market significantly now as well.. Mercury had a significant layoff of 100 to 150 I believe it was. Also suppliers have informed that there has been a significant downward revision in their forecast for parts... A significant pontoon brand has gone from 26 units per day down to 11. and the forecast keeps getting revised.. It’s not looking pretty out there
  26. Sounds like you need a 25LSV, @Ronnie!! I'll say this about the Supra SL. The new 2024 SL is a well put together boat. We plan to demo one this season to see what it has to offer. My biggest single gripe about it is accessibility for service. It doesn't seem friendly for that and based on what our dealer wants to service the boat, it's not worth the drive, leaving if there, and going back to get it when I can do it in the drive way far less costly with less downtime provided it's routine service. That felt like a detriment to the SL. Back to Malibu, I've surfed a 24MXZ and I liked it. From a style perspective it's simply not my favorite. Now that I have a 25 It's hard to suggest I'd go smaller. Since our kids are getting older and we have one moving to FL this year for school, I mentioned downsizing to the CFO and was immediately shot down. Something I appreciate more and more about her....

    That's a 255k MSRP - didn't know the 23LSV got that high....
