Also can’t have a lift where I am. Tend to just pull it out every few weeks and run a ceramic coating. 

Thinking I might have to do the same just pull it out and clean dry and wax. probably save a few bucks filling it up at the gas station too instead of marina !!

I took my Parker unit apart yesterday to replace the Reed switch; a rodent(?) chewed through the wires on it, so i finished last season on my '17 A22 just shorting it out inside the boat to bypass the error.

Not much to go wrong inside them. I opened it all the way up to check that the power wires weren't fatiguing at the insertion. They were good and are just crimped to the motor inside the plastic housing. So, they are replaceable, too.  Put the housing back on and screw it down to overcome the magnetic pull.

The part numbering on the reed switch seems to have changed, though...

So had same problam in an 2018 moomba craz Was running, half throttle, started to make a slight left turn and boat started to shutter violently. Back off throttle went to throttle back up. It shuddered drove 20 mile an hour for about a mile to the dock. It was still doing it. Put boat in neutral, then reverse after that, it ran normal again.  Not sure where the shutter is coming from

Wow. Sounds like just a phase reverse somewhere. I'm sure you'll get the tach working too.
