    • OK, I took it apart. There are 4 screws and two bolts to get the two halves of the motor side apart. At that point, the hydraulic fluid starts leaking out. After cleaning up the mess, I was able to pull the rotor out of the slot it was in (with the magnets). I took some pictures.

So not sure what to make of those curious divots. Nothing else jumps out at me yet as to why it would not be working.

So my boat maintenance sleuths, what do you make of it?

    • Well we are out here!! It’s great. The wife and I floating around till the boys get off work and try some boarding.
only thing is the service warning keeps coming on, and I’m limited to 3000 rpm. Reading up on it, it could be anything from low batteries to a faulty engine coolant sensor. So, some minor work to do. Everything else seems in order. Oh, other than the maliview delaminating. Which I already knew about. Having a hard time to get the switch button to get to the blower button.
But, I’ll work through all that. The boats used. That’s how she goes!

    • My family owns a hardware store, and we used to make our own ropes and handles. After breaking several that resulted in bad crashes, we went back to purchasing them.

I'm guessing we'll see some of the former owners take back their locations as independent dealers as this shakes out over next couple of months. Most of them still own the real estate, so updating the signage/branding, signing a new dealer agreement with BU and getting back to doing what they love won't be a stretch for some.

I really doubt this. It would be extremely complicated and costly to unwind the company one bit at a time.
