Yes, pin hole leak. The mechanic is  leery of making a repair due to the 60 psi fuel pressure. Also, Indmar no longer makes these parts so we are hoping to find one used. Any suggestions are appreciated.

My fuel rails are just extruded aluminum, IIRC.  Each rail should have fuel fittings at each end and four holes for injectors along the length.

Is the pin hole just at some random place in the rail, or next to a fitting?  If it is somewhere away from the important parts, drill it, thread it, and put a small machine screw in it with some goop to seal it.

The real question is why one would get a pinhole leak in the first place.  Please post a photo of the rail and show where the leak is.

    • last thing to take note of, just make sure lift motors, cables, etc. can handle whatever weight of boat you may upgrade to.

    • p.s. from what i can tell from the one pick you posted, that should be a good starting point, might even work with no adjustments.  Possibly just slide bunks in or out a bit

    • @asp13  you don't really need the bunks tall enough for tracking fin(s) to clear crossbar, you just need to be able to lower the lift low enough in the water that the tracking fins don't hit the crossbar when docking or leaving.  As for the rest of the running gear (Prop and rudder) they can just stay behind the rear crossbar (i.e. don't pull too far forward).  The bunks really only need to be high enough so hull is not resting on crossbars and have enough room for prop shaft clearance etc.  Make sense?

      Let’s tap the brakes a bit…

You’re throwing out some serious allegations without a shred of evidence. Either share your evidence of “pump and dump fraud” or post a picture of your tinfoil hat.

To those of us who DO buy more than one boat every century and DO have knowledge of the inner workings of how boats are ordered and how the Malibu -to- Dealer business model is set up… your version of events just doesn’t line up.

Also, isn’t it interesting that only ONE dealer is in this kind of trouble….???

Having a quota and pressure to hit market share is normal. THE DEALER HAS TO PUSH THE BUTTON TO MAKE A BOAT SHOW UP.

It's all documented in the lawsuits; I have only made possible predictions if the allegations of Tommy's and the shareholders are found to be true.

Speaking of allegations? Do you have proof that Tommy's "pressed the button to make the boats show up"? Do you have proof that Malibu wasn't culpable? Have you read the filings?

Why only Tommy's? Maybe they were venerable. Maybe other dealers were smarter than Tommy's. Maybe Malibu couldn't pressure a dealer such as MarineMax because they are a public company.

If you think Malibu is going to be the same company on the other side of this, invest all your money in MBUU!
