  1. About a year ago the depth gauge on our 2006 vRide started continuously flashing 27.6’ no matter if we are in deep water or shallow. Wondering if anyone else here has had similar issues? Is it a transducer issue , gauge issue or possible wiring issue? Is there a way to trouble shoot? Is there a good source on the internet for these parts? Thanks for the help.
  2. I have an 06' V-Ride, same hull as 2004 and older VLX. I'm trying to replace the Morse shifter assembly. I can find the ones with both transmission and throttle cables but I can't find a semi digital? The one that's currently on has a throttle cable and an electric plug for the trans. Can't find a direct link to Morse. Local dealer saw it and said they couldn't locate a part number for it?

    06' vride ballast

hey guys, Location: Sydney Australia Just recently purchased a 2006 Vride. previously owned a Moomba outback Direct Drive and it sucked for wakeboarding and wakesurfing. i had the highfly fatseat ( big u shape ) to go around the engine, however it took up all the room in the boat and definatly wasnt convinient. in saying that it was 1500lbs but i recon we only ever filled it to 1350-1400lbs max. in addition we had about 6 people in the boat did it have enough push for surfing... No So now having just purchased the Vride which has the 500lbs factory hard tank mid ballast, and the 2x 250lbs hard tanks in each rear locker. and a power wedge is that enough to surf with the stock ballast? noting my moomba experience i also have 2x 550lbs sacs i got real cheap so im thinking of running them ontop of the hard tanks in the back lockers of the Vride so that would be 800lbs in each rear locker (1600lbs) and 500lbs centre stock = 2100lbs all up. do you think thats enough to get a solid push? i currently dont have anything for the bow at the moment but i will use humans until we dial it in and i can sus out what a good weight is up front. plus getting wakemakers bags sent over to Australia is about $80usd in shipping plus our conversion to the USD sucks haha. reason im asking all of this is its currently winter and havnt taken the boat out yet ( waiting for a sunny weekend that isnt raining or windy ) i just want to be set up as much as possible before taking it out rather than a whole bunch of trial and error and dissapoint everyone when it could be avoided if i gather the appropriate gear before hand. i know there is a wealth of knowledge on here and why try and reinvent the wheel Thanks in Advance
  4. We have a 2007 VRIDE and looking to upgrade they current system in our boat as some items are currently not working. Currently we have a sony head-end unit with two wired remotes remotes, rockford fosgate P450.4 punch amplifier, (4)interior rockford fosgate punch (P162C) speakers and (2) Titan Cans with Maxxsonics DCG 116. Items not working include (1) speaker, (1) can and sony head end unit has trouble picking up the aux (phones) I would like to add a sub and amp to run the sub. What options do I have that won't break the bank but still repair the system. We typically wakeboard and chill. I am planning on adding a second battery to the system. Since we have some time on our hands I would like to do this sooner than later to enjoy the summer. Any help would be greatly appreciated! TIA
  5. I have an 05' VRide and the depth readout does not display. Depth module and Transducer are present. When I turn the ignition on the speedo display flashes momentairily and I can see the words "Depth", "Water Temp" and "Air Temp" flash at the same time. Once the system has booted I can only access the Hours, Water Temp, Air Temp and Clock readouts; "Depth" never displays. Has anyone else had this issue? I'm not sure if the problem is the depth module ( it is getting 12v at the power connection and the ground is good) the transducer (replaced already), or the MMDC. Any thoughts or experience with similar issue are appreciated!

    2006 Vride

Just wondering what the wake is like behind a 2006 vride. I'm 6'3" and weigh 250lbs. Am I going to be able to surf behind this boat. I'm willing to put a shaper and play with the ballasts. Just looking for some opinions on this boat and surfing possibilities. Thank you
  7. Sorry for yet another “help me choose my boat” post, but this one is tricky for me. I have not been in the water in a long time, and just bought a house on a lake. I used to wakeboard growing up behind anything I could, and looking to also start again as well as begin wake surfing. My wife Did not grow up on water, so doesn’t really care, other than having it be a good reliable, long lasting family boat within our budget ($30k..ish). We have 2 small children with cousins that will be coming over. So I have concerns about size on the VRide. So the options are a 2005 Wakesetter 23 LSV with just over 500 hrs. Nothing really seems updates except an extra 750 fat sac. Good condition, no big tears or seam rips, Gel Coat is supposedly in good condition. Tandem axel trailer. This is Not from a dealer, but an individual that is 3.5 hrs away. Price is $35k, which is actually a little over budget. I would have to get local marina to do any testing (I.e compression) We don’t have a truck, so I would have to rent one. The second option is an ‘08 VRide. Has the tower, manual wedge, two 200lb and one 500lb ballast. This is from a dealer about 2 hrs away, who is willing to deliver. They are running through the boat, replacing some things like Ballast pumps, did compression testing, cleaning, etc. pretty good condition, with a little dock rash, a small split in a seam, new custom cover and Bimini, also mid 500 hr range. Price $31k.
