    Add Subwoofer 2019 22 LSV

Hello Malibu Crew! I’m looking for help here, I have a 2019 Malibu 22 LSV with no subwoofer option. I have looked around under the console and can see pos/neg wires where the sub would be if I installed one. I have seen the other forms and I think to myself that there must be an easier way. Would anyone advise against getting an integrated subwoofer made for cars and stick it in the same spot that the subwoofer should be. I’m not entirely sure if it gets wet down there, But I feel like could be worth a shot. I know with the integrated subwoofers that it won’t be as powerful as having a custom box. With that being said, I think any low frequency would make a massive difference within this boat. Last question, would it be absolutely necessary to cut a hole in the fiberglass where your feet go in the main fuselage of the boat. In sedans for example, subwoofers are stuck in the truck and completely sealed. Wondering if it would detract that much from the sound. If anyone has installed an active automotive subwoofer in their boat, and didn’t have the subwoofer console open to begin with, please let me know. And that goes for all years as well.
  2. First, let me say thanks to the forum members for support in figuring out how to build the RCA and remote power adapters. My upgrade is complete but I picked up a buzz from all speakers at low/no volume. Not sure if it’s the adapters I built, but could use some thoughts on isolating it. Motor is off so its not the typical ground fault issue that causes the alternator wine. The sound does not increase... just an audible buzz when music is not being played. Subs: 2 JL 12w6v3’s in ported enclosures - 1.3cf tuned to 33 hertz Amps: NVX VAD27001 for Subs - Overkill, but I might add another sub down the road and I didnt want to draw a lot of current. 3 NVX VAD8402 amps for the cabin (front/rear) and tower speakers

    Amp/sub help please

Need a little help, installed Rockford amp/sub this winter. Had my sub dialed in and sounding great with boat off. Finally got on the water and holy crap! Super loud with boat on. Wired amp direct to battery. 2019 Axis A20, 2 batteries. Should I have wired to the switch instead? Do I need a capacitor? If I dial it all the way down when boat is running on the head unit, it’s too quiet with boat off in accessory. Any wiring advice so I don’t have to adjust it every time I turn the boat on/off?
  4. Anyone know if I can get the 23LSV sub kick plate on our 22LSV ..after the fact?..my dealer is of little to no help at all on add on stereo stuff.

    Rockford P300x2 - no sound

Anyone ever have one of the amps go out but still show a power light? My Rockford P300x2 that powers the 12" sub in my 2014 23LSV shows power light and getting just shy of 12v at the amp with it not cranked (New batteries). I pulled the sub out of the box and wired the sub directly to another amp and got some sound so i don't believe it is the Sub itself. The RCA wires aren't long enough to move them from another amp to the P300x2 to test it that way. Anything else I should be doing to test it before I buy a new amp? Thanks Ryan
