  1. TL;DR: I'm having trouble finding a cover for my specific boat... any of the online retailers of "exact fit" boat covers never list my exact boat, however it seems they stock a cover made for a 2002-03 VLX with Titan tower, I would think it should fit my '01 fine, thoughts? TIA My stock Malibu grey sunbrella cover has seen better days, and as I just spent thou$ands on an entire new interior last season, I'd like to replace it. Typical google search for exact fit covers gives me a handful of good options, all of which have a large number of Malibu models/years/towers to pick from, however I cannot locate my model/year/tower combination. My 2001 Wakesetter VLX has the first generation titan tower, stock bimini. The options listed on overtons and other retailers: For 2001: WAKESETTER 21 VLX COVERS EXT. PLATFORM I/B WAKESETTER 21 VLX w/ECI TOWER COVERS PLATFORM V-DRIVE WAKESETTER 21 VLX W/SWOOP TOWER COVERS SWIM PLATFORM For 2002: WAKESETTER 21 VLX W/TITAN TOWER CUTOUTS COVERS PLATFORM WAKESETTER 21 VLX W/TITAN TOWER CUTOUTS DOESN'T COVER PLATFORM I assume the 1st option for 2001 is for a boat with no tower. I'm aware that the changes from '01 to '02 is mainly a few inch taller deck (area above rub rail), and some other small trim and interior differences, however with the hull being identical between the years I would think the covers would be similar enough and at worst the cover made for the '02 vs the '01 will be a big "baggy" around the rubrail. In most cases I'd just have a custom cover made but the quotes I've heard are between 2-3k, and these online covers are just under 1k for the same material (sunbrella). I also don't want to make a $900 mistake since these are made when ordered and are non-returnable. The boat sits in a covered lift during all summer and then this cover used when between weekends while still in the hoist. The stock cover with cutouts for the tower fits ok but still allows a lot of spiders in, which I've heard the over-the-tower style helps with this, but I'm worried how annoying that would be to cover when the boat is inside the lift, or if I want to keep the bimini up. FWIW I think the cover with the cutouts looks better but the spider webs around the tower racks and speakers are also annoying. Advice? TIA Edit: This is a list of covers for 21 VLX from Westland covers (savyboater): Wakesetter 21 VLX Inboard with Extended Platform (1999-2001) Wakesetter 21 VLX with ECI Tower & Platform V-Drive (1999-2001) Wakesetter 21 VLX with Swoop Tower & Platform (2002-2004) Wakesetter 21 VLX with Swoop Tower & Swim Platform (1991-2001) Wakesetter 21 VLX with Swoop Tower (no Platform) (2002-2004) Wakesetter 21 VLX with Titan Tower Cutouts (no Platform) (2002-2003) Wakesetter 21 VLX with Titan Tower Cutouts with Platform (2002-2003) Wakesetter 21 VLX with Titan Tower Folded Down & Platform (1995-2003) Wakesetter 21 VLX with Titan Tower Folded Down (no Platform) (1995-2003) Wakesetter 21 with Titan Tower with SWIM Platform | & V Ride (2004) Still none of these seem correct...
  2. Trying to get a decent boat cover these days is proving to be like most sourcing issues going on lately. Evolution Covers is over a year out, and most places who make covers are saying 5-6. months. Has anyone purchase a cover from MalibuParts.com? The videos on them show to be a quality, strapless tarp. Image is a screenshot from their website.
  3. Hi all, longtime listen, rare poster but I'm looking (let me know if there is a better section for me to post this in) for anyone that might be willing to help. I need a 2018-2020 #23LSV w gx tower around Seattle Everett area that I can pay/trade/beg to have templated for a new cover. I totally get this is not idea and am willing to make it worth your time. I'm on my 3rd OE cover which are just not made to tow, and in short I just need to have one made by Evolution and he needs to template one. I'm in Utah and considering driving all the way out there for it, but would love to avoid a 3 day trip if possible. I'd pay him to come to you to make it easy.

    Cover Suggestions

I have a 1995 Malibu Echelon LX. I installed a Monster MTK tower on the boat. I am looking for suggestions on where to purchase a cover. Is there an online source that will make a custom cover to fit with my tower? I could also have it altered locally.
  5. Does anyone know what kind of fabric the Axis boat cover is made from or where to buy some OEM patch material? I was towing my 2011 A22 and realized one of the sides of the cover underneath the tower got a vertical tear that I want to patch. Thanks
  6. I have a 2002 Response with the original cover. Not in too bad of shape but would like to get a new one. This one might leak. Would like to find one that says Malibu on the front and back but seems like all the ones I find say nothing. Any suggestions would be great!
  7. I have a 2000 Malibu LSV Escape. I bought it last year and it came with a cover. The cover doesn't look original and is in two pieces. One piece covers the bow and the other piece covers the windshield and everything back to the stern. The cover attaches via snaps. The cover itself is canvas and seems somewhat waterproof. That said, even if it were completely waterproof, the shape over the cover wouldn't prevent water from entering the boat. Anything that lands on the windshield will go right under the bow cover. I've seen other boats that have covers that wrap underneath the bow and seem like they would keep the rain out. I'm getting mildew inside my boat and need to solve this. For outside storage, how do I keep the rain out? Also, bonus points if your solution works for snow also. (I'm in Utah and have been paying to have my boat shrink wrapped in the winter).
  8. I have a new to me 2003 RLXI which has a thin aftermarket cover. I really like the factory covers with ratchets but not the price. I saw a TXI cover for sale at a decent price and wonder if it would fit close enough on a 2003 RLXI to be worth the purchase or if you recommend another source for covers similar to the factory covers? Thanks in advance!
