  1. This is a Hail Mary…talk to me like I’m a 5 year old… Was cruising leisurely across the lake when it felt like the boat slipped out of gear. No forward, but reverse still worked. Towed to the dock. I pulled the tranny cover off and when I shifted into forward, ATF _gushed_ out of somewhere. Had to remove a bunch of stuff to get at it (panel with three big electrical clips, gas line, etc) but it appears to be coming from a hole on the housing itself. No threads that I can see, it looks like maybe a ball bearing is supposed to plug it? Had a couple guys come out and they had never seen this before. They said the sensors on either side blow all the time, but this little piece isn’t even on the diagrams. Trying and failing to imbed pictures: https://ibb.co/wg9364y - screwdriver pointing at hole/port https://ibb.co/Qm3tgnp - general location (before dismemberment)
  2. Just Purchased 2019 A22. Used the boat 4 times. Went to start it yesterday and it won't start. It turns over but won't fire. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

    Upgrade

My family and I are really big into surfing and wakeboarding. We currently own a 2015 Moomba Mondo. We’ve had this boat for 2 seasons and aren’t really happy with the surf wave. I have done a lot of research and believe an Axis A22/T22 would be the way to go but my Dad is convinced the new auto wake technology on the 2021 moomba max will make the perfect wave. I have seen some things online that have lead me to believe this isn’t the case. Any A22/T22 owners out there that could help me change his mind?

    Tower Speaker Box Build

I finally got around to organizing some pictures from summer 2019 and wanted to share this project. It sucks how low the tower crossbar is on the 2019 A22, but it's what I got and what I had to work with. I'm only 5'10", but there was NO WAY I was hanging a box off the bottom of the tower as I did in my previous boat. Adding a box on top of the tower IMHO looks silly. So this positioning was a no brainer, but it meant 2 boxes, and double the work. I started with simple templates to see how it would size up on the tower. I used one of the mounting holes for the upper board racks as the main attachment point to build around. I'm using (4) 6.5" speakers as I have done in previous builds. Once I got the general angles set, I cut up the wood and started piecing it together. Wrapped in fleece to get the general shape, then glassed the boxes and sanded them down. I honestly was NOT planning to make these look pretty. The Goal here was to make some functional boxes and to blend them into the tower so they do not draw attention. This was also a concept, just to see if this would work and didn't look like two turds. As it turns out, they came out really good and sound great for the limited amount of time I have put into them. So I finished up the sanding, painted them flat black as close to matched the tower as possible. Mounted the speakers, ran the wiring thru the tower and done! Sadly I don't seem to have a pic with the speakers installed. Doh! Where there's a will, there's a way! I have a lot more pics if anyone is interested. Happy Building! MWNT
  5. Hi everyone, I'm new to this site and I was wondering if anyone can help me make a decision between keeping my 2015 VTX or moving to a 2018 new Axis A22 with 5 years of warranty. I really like my VTX however our family has been doing more surf than any other sport with the boat plus were normally 6 to 8 on the boat most times out and starting to run out of space. Space is not my main concern here it's really about the surfing. So my question, Is the 2018 A22 surf wave that much better than the 2015 VTX and worth me moving to the A22? Dealer told me I won't need to deploy the wedge with the A22 and I will save on fuel. Also said it make double the size of the 2015 VTX. Help please and thanks in advance.
  6. What if price was basically the same for a new 2019 A22 and a Demo MLX 2. Pros and cons anyone, what would you chose and why?
  7. New to wakeboarding, what’s the best setup? Speed? Powerwedge III? Ballast?
  8. New to the forum and looking for good insight from current Malibu owners. We are looking for a new boat this summer and we've narrowed it down to two options, an older Malibu and a new Axis boat. We currently have an 05 Nautique SV211 so anything will be an upgrade but I also want to know we''re making the right decision. The 2015 22MXZ only has 80 hours and its fitted with PW2 and includes the PNP sacks. Really a beautiful boat. Asking price is ~75k The 2019 A22 would need to stay under the 80k range so based on research would include the stock engine and sound, etc. We have yet to determine what the 5 year factory warranty is worth to us so have yet to factor that it to our decision. Looking for any helpful feedback and looking forward to being a part of this community. Thanks in advance!
