  1. Looking for some help from anyone with experience in electrical issues on 2012 Wakesetter. I’m having issues with the boat starting & multiple issues when it actually does start. I’m wondering if it could be a neutral safety or throttle issue? I replaced the touchscreen because I thought that was the issue with starting. (MTC touchscreens make a beautiful replacement that cost 1/2 of the factory replacement, but upgraded so it won’t delaminate again!). Turns out it was not the touch screen & I’m still having the issue: When I put my 4 digit code in, the “ENTER CODE” icon turns from yellow to blue “START ENGINE” …but will not recognize that I’m pressing the button. I investigated all the fuses, breakers & relays… everything was perfect. I figured it can’t hurt to replace the power relay & the ignition relay on the ECM that’s mounted on the engine. That seemed to fix the problem, but only temporarily. Now the same issue of the boat not starting because it doesn’t recognize that I’m pressing the start engine part of the touch screen. (The batteries are fully charged & all cables are securely fastened. The kill switch is flipped up to run.) Occasionally the boat will start, but is giving me many issues: The boat will start, but shuts off on its own after about 1 minute When I do get it started, I will put it in neutral & try to gently give it throttle to warm up & the boat jumps into gear while in neutral! This happens in both reverse & drive When the boat does occasionally run, I will ease it up to 30 mph or so, then after a minute or so, it will promptly experience an immediate power loss & go into a “limp” or “safe” mode. Then I cannot go much faster than 10 mph, even at full throttle. Other times when the boat happens to be running, it will turn on cruise control by itself. I will be driving along at cruising speed & all of a sudden it kicks on when it was set to OFF. I am getting the Service engine code for SPN 65591 FMI:7 for cylinder 1 misfire. I brought this boat to the dealer for service in the spring for a tune up & to investigate this issue. They said they cleared the code, put in a new spark plug in cylinder 1 & it was probably bad gas. It seems like there’s MUCH more is wrong than that because the code returns and goes off as soon as the boat is started I’m not sure if I need a new ECM, or if it could be a throttle or neutral safety switch? Or if it has much more electrical issues than just that. Thanks for your help!
  2. My 2008 Sunscape LSV has a loose arm rest where the throttle is I can see where the screws pulled loos from the backing block but can’t figure out how to disassemble/reassemble it - any thoughts, ideas or experience with this and I would very grateful 🙏
  3. Hello, Everyone. Nice to find this site. I have a 1995 Echelon with 454 Mag with what I suspect is a throttle issue. Engine is running smooth, and I can bump it into forward or reverse at idle speed. But when I try to increase throttle, there is no response. The throttle feels loose, no resistance. Same result when I put it in neutral and try to throttle up - no response in RPM. How would I be able to tell the difference between a cable issue vs. throttle body issue? Does anyone have links to manuals/diagrams or any advice on troubleshooting and getting parts? I am somewhat confident to try this myself with this type of advice. Thanks in advance for your help! Steve
  4. I have an 06' V-Ride, same hull as 2004 and older VLX. I'm trying to replace the Morse shifter assembly. I can find the ones with both transmission and throttle cables but I can't find a semi digital? The one that's currently on has a throttle cable and an electric plug for the trans. Can't find a direct link to Morse. Local dealer saw it and said they couldn't locate a part number for it?
  5. I picked my boat last night and I'm crawling through her. The throttle seems to have no tension on it? Very easy to move forward and reverse. Is there a way to tighten the tension?
  6. Newbie here, I have spent nights reading a lot of great posts about maintenance and educational tips. Definitely worth the $ to support the Crew and save big bucks down the road. On my 2004 LSV monsoon 340 I replaced the perfect pass cable mid season last year and I must have missed a step because now the throttle linkage unscrews itself and the motor goes to idle until I reattach the linkage. Wife is not happy when it happened while skiing. I am thinking I missed a lock nut somewhere. It separates right under the bracket that holds the perfect pass cable and the 6" long throttle rod linkage. The 1" long brass nut unscrews itself from the threaded silver linkage just underneath it, right near the pop up ski pylon. I have attached a couple of pictures. I was hoping somebody could look at their set up and see what I missed if anything. Tempted to put Lock tite on it after I set the idle. Any other suggestions would be much appreciated.
