Just bought first family boat '06 23 LSV and have a couple questions: First, it has two batteries w/ the perko selector switch in it. When I pulled the batteries to charge them I noticed that the huge amp/stereo wires just go to one battery, and not into the perko switch. Doesn't that negate being able to use the selector switch to choose which battery is powering the audio system? Is that common practice? Second, as I was reconnecting the wires everything went fine until I went to connect the negative lead from the speaker system/amp to the battery that I had connected the positive lead to first from the speaker system/amp. Pretty big fireworks. There was nothing when hooking up positives from switch and grounds (not even the tiny ones you'll get sometimes w/ new vehicles and all their computers), which leads me to believe everything going through switch is fine. It has the Medallion MUX switches on it, which I don't think were standard...When they put those in would they have been added to connect to power through the amps/stereo? I appreciate your help

Best bang for your buck - stereo self-install
dashbrdhulagirl posted a topic in Stereo Info & How-To
We have a 96 Sunsetter VLX, and we'd like to do some upgrades on the sound system. We have 4 speakers in the boat that are okay for now, but we'd like to upgrade the rest of the setup...we want two tower speakers, a subwoofer, amp and the receiver with bluetooth capability. What's the best bang for our buck? Good quality but budget friendly. Something fairly to easy to install. We aren't out to be the loudest on the lake or hosts of the party. Just want a system that has all working parts and good sound quality for our crew to enjoy. -
Hello, Is there anyway to use the Wet Sounds WS-420BT on a 2021 23 LSV? I have one from my old boat and I would like to use it in the new boat.

First, let me say thanks to the forum members for support in figuring out how to build the RCA and remote power adapters. My upgrade is complete but I picked up a buzz from all speakers at low/no volume. Not sure if it’s the adapters I built, but could use some thoughts on isolating it. Motor is off so its not the typical ground fault issue that causes the alternator wine. The sound does not increase... just an audible buzz when music is not being played. Subs: 2 JL 12w6v3’s in ported enclosures - 1.3cf tuned to 33 hertz Amps: NVX VAD27001 for Subs - Overkill, but I might add another sub down the road and I didnt want to draw a lot of current. 3 NVX VAD8402 amps for the cabin (front/rear) and tower speakers

Hi y’all. I’m new here so I apologize in advance if this is not the right area to post this. I have a 2005 Malibu wakesetter vlx. This past winter with the help of a friend I installed a new stereo system. During this time I took off the arm rest/head unit cover. I’ve managed to reassemble everything else, but it seems I have lost the arm rest/ head unit cover. I was wondering if anybody new where to find a replacement. I have spent the past couple of hours trying to find one on the internet with no success.

2008 LSV Sunscape, stereo uprade and panel issue, I may be screwed
LSLRobert posted a topic in Stereo Info & How-To
I really hope that your collective genius can help me out here! First person to get it right gets $25 bucks cash sent via venmo, or drinks of your choice if we ever see each other:) 2008 LSV. Last year I had a few issues, the left "switch" panel quit working. More specifically, the LED screen quit working. You can kind of read something in some light, but the screen is dead. However, the buttons work. Weird. About the same time, but not necessarily the same time, the stereo quit working. The boat has the factory JBL system with the black box (MBB-3) with a cabin remote and a separate transom remote. See the attached pictures. In addition, you can see the tower speakers in the picture. Under the dash I have a Wet Sounds WS-420 equalizer. Two amps, both wet sounds. I believe that the amps and equalizer are all working. We can get some sound with certain settings. My stereo guy is suggesting that I replace the MBB-3 and remotes with something newer that has bluetooth. I am ok with that but want to know what you guys recommend. I don't need the best, something a few years old is fine so long as it works as close as possible to factory. The bigger issue is the left switch/annunciator panel. See the picture attached with it circled in red. He mentioned getting it "flashed" or reset but that was above his area of expertise. Suggestions fellow owners? Timing sucks, money is tighter than ever with this pandemic crap so I don't want to replace every component if I don't need to. If the easiest thing to do is to keep the boat sound system completely separate from the factory panel/computer I can live with that but am hoping for a better option. Thoughts? Wait, the pictures are not showing up. How do I post a picture here folks!- 1 reply
