  1. Morning! I’ve got engine whine in stereo and checking to be sure engine ground is on separate battery from stereo/amp grounds. Any guesses on how I’d tell which ground is for which systems? Here are pics of my 2 batteries as they sit today. Thanks guys! https://www.dropbox.com/sh/iv602746kvevoln/AADWhWlgIvsSgzO-ZefrOPrua?dl=0
  2. Hey guys, so I’ve got what I understand to be 4 wetsounds pro 80’s on my 05 VLX. It’s on an illusion tower so the mounting seems to be directly bolted into the side of the tower which seems to save a ton of space. The speaks are completely blown out and actually still sound oddly good…. The cone is deteriorated on all of them so at times they can sound bad. Anyways I’m trying to keep the pods possibly and just buy replacement speakers but from my understanding you can’t just slap any old speaker in there. Anybody have a similar situation or could point me in the right direction?

    Add Subwoofer 2019 22 LSV

Hello Malibu Crew! I’m looking for help here, I have a 2019 Malibu 22 LSV with no subwoofer option. I have looked around under the console and can see pos/neg wires where the sub would be if I installed one. I have seen the other forms and I think to myself that there must be an easier way. Would anyone advise against getting an integrated subwoofer made for cars and stick it in the same spot that the subwoofer should be. I’m not entirely sure if it gets wet down there, But I feel like could be worth a shot. I know with the integrated subwoofers that it won’t be as powerful as having a custom box. With that being said, I think any low frequency would make a massive difference within this boat. Last question, would it be absolutely necessary to cut a hole in the fiberglass where your feet go in the main fuselage of the boat. In sedans for example, subwoofers are stuck in the truck and completely sealed. Wondering if it would detract that much from the sound. If anyone has installed an active automotive subwoofer in their boat, and didn’t have the subwoofer console open to begin with, please let me know. And that goes for all years as well.
  4. Any idea on why the port side interior speakers would randomly stop working? Noticed this issue yesterday on the water. The starboard interior, sub, and tower speakers are all working fine. Eq settings are all normal. I used Bluetooth and battery 1 to test today. Thanks for any suggestions or help. 2018 23 LSV.
  5. Hey guys. I recently got a head unit and speakers gifted to me. I went to install and, Yay the boat was factory wired....but I can't seem to get the power and ground wires right or it's so old something is wrong in the system. Does anyone have a factory wiring diagram for a 99 ish sportster or was it wild west back then and they just threw it in?
  6. Hey guys! As we all no Christmas just happened, so I decided to buy a new amp for the boat. The plan is to re-run all new speaker wire in 14AWG and amp all the speakers in the boat. So I picked up a Kicker KMA450.6 (6 channel) amp. originally I was going to ditch the 800w Kenwood 4 channel amp I have now, but after looking at the output numbers I feel as if the new kicker amp doesn't pack enough punch for the tower speakers. cause of that im planning to keep both amp. (run the towers off the 800w amp and all the speakers in the boat off the 450w) What your guys take on this? should I just keep it simple and run only my new 450w 6 Chanel amp, or should I go a different route all together. Im looking for loud and clean sound quality, no sub will be in my system (unfortunately) Iv got a Kenwood KMR-d7688BT head unit and have Kenwood KFC-1653MRW 6.5" speakers all round in the boat. Iv attached a photo of what I was planning on doing to clear thing up. Note I was thinking about running 2 speakers at 2ohms (paralleling them) reason for this is these will be on the driver side farthest 2 speakers from the amp and it would be less wire to run. Thats my theory behind this.. and these will get about 75W vs 40W the amp puts out at 4ohms. Thanks guys! and happy holidays! < These 2 speakers my be added in the future

    Alpha II cans

I am looking to replace the plastic chrome bezels on my Alpha II cans. Is there a source anyone can recommend? I don’t need to replace the whole cans unless absolutely necessary. The chrome is fairly well pitted. Thanks, Bill
