    Add Subwoofer 2019 22 LSV

Hello Malibu Crew! I’m looking for help here, I have a 2019 Malibu 22 LSV with no subwoofer option. I have looked around under the console and can see pos/neg wires where the sub would be if I installed one. I have seen the other forms and I think to myself that there must be an easier way. Would anyone advise against getting an integrated subwoofer made for cars and stick it in the same spot that the subwoofer should be. I’m not entirely sure if it gets wet down there, But I feel like could be worth a shot. I know with the integrated subwoofers that it won’t be as powerful as having a custom box. With that being said, I think any low frequency would make a massive difference within this boat. Last question, would it be absolutely necessary to cut a hole in the fiberglass where your feet go in the main fuselage of the boat. In sedans for example, subwoofers are stuck in the truck and completely sealed. Wondering if it would detract that much from the sound. If anyone has installed an active automotive subwoofer in their boat, and didn’t have the subwoofer console open to begin with, please let me know. And that goes for all years as well.
  2. Hey guys! As we all no Christmas just happened, so I decided to buy a new amp for the boat. The plan is to re-run all new speaker wire in 14AWG and amp all the speakers in the boat. So I picked up a Kicker KMA450.6 (6 channel) amp. originally I was going to ditch the 800w Kenwood 4 channel amp I have now, but after looking at the output numbers I feel as if the new kicker amp doesn't pack enough punch for the tower speakers. cause of that im planning to keep both amp. (run the towers off the 800w amp and all the speakers in the boat off the 450w) What your guys take on this? should I just keep it simple and run only my new 450w 6 Chanel amp, or should I go a different route all together. Im looking for loud and clean sound quality, no sub will be in my system (unfortunately) Iv got a Kenwood KMR-d7688BT head unit and have Kenwood KFC-1653MRW 6.5" speakers all round in the boat. Iv attached a photo of what I was planning on doing to clear thing up. Note I was thinking about running 2 speakers at 2ohms (paralleling them) reason for this is these will be on the driver side farthest 2 speakers from the amp and it would be less wire to run. Thats my theory behind this.. and these will get about 75W vs 40W the amp puts out at 4ohms. Thanks guys! and happy holidays! < These 2 speakers my be added in the future
  3. Need to replace my old Clarion M475 radio. Can anyone tell me if the newer Clarion M505 or M508 models have the same power, speaker and remote controls type/style connectors As the M475 to facilitate a straightforward change. Does the newer radio remote connectors have the same number of pins as the older remote cables? thanks
