  1. Hey Guys, my Name is Felix and i´m based in Germany (so please excuse my moderate english). After selling my Mastercraft X2 two years ago, i now bought a 2009 Wakesetter VLX 21 that was sold in Belgium. The Boat is in a quiet good condition, everything is stock and there are no bigger damages. The only thing that doesen´t work properly is the Wedge. First, the Wedge wasn´t workling at all. But we found out that one Actuator was bad, so we disassemble it, cleaned it an put new O-Rings an Grease on it. Now that Problem is solved and the Wedge goes up and down per button. What is not working is to deploy the Wedge and imho that ist because the Sensor does not read correctly. The Display in Calibration-Mode shows a value arround 650. I found a good Video from a Guy on Yotube and he´s troubleshooting the ~2009 Wedges. But for the case of the high Value i did not found an Answer. Does anyone has an Idea what else could be the Problem or how to check if its a bad Sensor? The next step i would do would be to replace the Sensor on the wedge. Thank you very much, Felix
  2. Power wedge stuck in vert mode. I’ve tried many of the remedies on this board to no avail. Tried unhooking the battery, bleeding the hydraulic release and manually moving the wedge, recalibrating the system… nothing is working. Anyone have any other remedies? I appreciate any guidance in advance.
  3. Hey all, I have a 2016 Malibu 23LSV. Last weekend when I had the boat I noticed that the power wedge wouldn't go down at all- its stuck at the Stow position. The debug screen reads 3.56 volts and 200 when at the stow position- hitting the + button on the debug screen produces a whine in the actuator but no actual movement of the wedge (probably because it is already all the way up, I assume) but pressing the - button produces nothing- no sound from the actuator, no clicking from the relay. Based on the tons of research that I did across this forum I assumed it was a relay problem so I ordered a new one and tried to install it myself- when I did that all I got was a clicking noise from the relay when pressing the - and + buttons, no noise from the actuator at all. I put the old one back in and same issues as before. A few other notes: Initially I was not getting any message about "check wedge cal" on the screen until I started messing with the +/- controls on the debug screen, now it keeps popping up all the time. I removed the wedge sensor and played with the bolt setting, it was reading the changes in voltage when moving the bolt. I turned it back to the 3.5-3.6 volt range and screwed the sensor back on. All wires coming from the actuator in the boat seemed to be in good condition, no cuts or exposed wire. Did not notice any loose bolts and the actuator pin seems to be fine. Any suggestions? Could it be the actuator itself? I'm just not sure because it is making noise when hitting the + button on debug. Could a faulty viper I/O module be a cause of this? Thanks in advance for anyone's help.
  4. I would like to know where can I get the power wedge sensor as I can't find it anywhere I own a 2009 Malibu VLX https://www.malibuparts.com/products/power-wedge-sensor EXACTLY LIKE THIS ONE If anyone could help (Thanks in advance)
  5. Issue with power wedge II on 2018 LSV skipping to position 4 when going from position 2 to 3. Anyone else have this issue? First ever post on here ever thanks.
  6. Hi all, I just purchased a 2013 VLX and have found the screen for the power wedge position to be difficult at best to read.... the display diagram moves a wedge picture up and down (however it is very difficult to see in the real world), there is no numeric indication or any sort that you could remember -especially if you want to go into presets and enter a percentage number. Maybe I am missing something??? it would be nice when you are taking someone surfing or foiling, etc. to be able to adjust the wedge on the fly and see the actual setting not just a picture, so that it is easy to return to in the future or for programming purposes (yes, I know that you can save the current setting to a preset), sometimes you just want to play with the settings and know what they are set at. Any suggestions out there? I even thought that maybe lenco would have a bank of LED indicators that I could wire in to show the position of the wedge, unfortunately their indicator with a set of led lights in a bar graph arrangement only comes in an expensive module with switches and other electronics.
  7. I have a 2013 vlx 21 and previously couldn’t get the wedge to do anything then I found a fuse that goes to it, I replaced it and it automatically put the wedge all the way down. Now I can’t get it to come back up
  8. I have a 2013 vlx 21 Wakesetter and I had to replace the bottom right lcd unit. I can control everything through this unit that I am supposed to be able to like start stop blower bilge but I cannot control the surf gate and power wedge. How do I sync the gates and the wedge?
  9. I have a 2012 malibu vlx wakesetter. The boat started and ran for a few hours before we turned it off to take a break. when we tried to start it again, nothing happened: no clicks, to crank, just nothing. the power wedge was also not working, but everything else worked fine. I imagine there is an issue with the power getting to the back of the boat. as far as i could tell all the fuses were good and no breakers were tripped.
  10. I have a 2010 Wakesetter 247 LSV. I have been reading here and trying to fix a problem with the power wedge. Power wedge stopped working. I was getting wedge down alarm even though it was all the way up. Couldn't calibrate as it wouldn't move in or out of the water. I have checked and run actuators manually and they work. They are 5 lobe, were replaced by the dealer a year ago. Lenco control box is original 3 lobe, but was working. The position sensor always read 66 on calibration screen regardless of position when I ran the actuators manually(I wired in a bypass switch). Thinking this might be the problem I replaced the position sensor. Still no luck getting anything to work correctly. I reset the Maliview viper to factory settings to see if that would help. It didn't. At this point I found the fuse everyone had mentioned in the harness clip under the dash that I overlooked. It was a 15amp fuse and it was blown. I replaced it and hooked everything back up like it was originally thinking I had found the problem. Here is now the issue. Sitting on the trailer in my driveway when I turn the key on the wedge starts moving up on it's own regardless of starting position. If I press the down MUX button it will go down but as soon as I release the button it starts going back up and the actuators continue to run when its get all the way to the top. Any ideas what might causing this? Also I have tried calibrating the sensor since replacing the fuse but I can't get down number below 166 regardless of how I adjust the sensor. I get readings of 166 down and around 488 in the up position. I keep battery charger hooked up the whole time so my voltage readings at gauges in dash are around 13-13.5V Any ideas whats causing the wedge to move up on it's own? Or ways to bring sensor calibration down? It will be appreciated.
  11. I'm having a hard time finding anything about the 2016 VLX power wedge actuator. It stopped going down a few days ago. I went into diag and it appears to have power going up but makes a dull noise trying to go down. I've not done much troubleshooting (i.e. electrical, fuses, etc.) as of yet, but assuming at this point the actuator will need to be replaced. Bakes has an OEM actuator and claims it replaces all models. That said, I have one actuator, not two which is suggested on the Bakes website. My question, where do I get a replacement actuator and has anyone else had this problem that might shed some light? Thank you in advance for the support!
  12. My 2016 VTX 20 vibrates at low speed and just when I'm taking off to pull a wakeboarder. It seems to happen ONLY when I am using the power edge (in max curved wake position & plus full ballast). Once I get 10+ MPH it goes away. The prop is fairly new and I have felt it & done visuals and it seems to be fine. Is it possible that the wedge itself could be misaligned somehow causing vibration? My next move unless I hear otherwise will be to just go ahead & change out the propr to see if that helps...
  13. Looking for help! I have a 2013 Malibu vlx. The arm on the power wedge broke. I am trying to find a replacement power wedge assembly. The entire thing has to be replaced because the arms are welded to the foil not bolted. I can't seem to find the part(s). Any ideas? I have a picture of the broken wedge but can't see how to attach it.
