  1. Could someone please send me any all contact information that you have on Medallion and Malibu. As I have posted, I am on my 4th touchscreen and not paying for another one. Just got stuck with PowerWedge fully deployed and the engine would not start. I was simply trying to do a little wakeboarding/surfing with my wife, 4yr old, and 2 yr old...I was able to power up then down over a dozen times to finally get cranked. Wedge would not move. Drove 30 minutes home with Wedge fully deployed. Im sorry but this is a problem...and has been for years!!! Someone has to do something about it. See the email below that I tried to send to Medallion: "Hey there….hope someone actually reads these emails? I have replaced (4) Touchscreens on my 2011 Malibu 23 Wakesetter LSV. What in the world is the problem with your product?? Just to give you a real life situation: The touchscreen works to crank the boat…then 1 minute later you have no response from it. This Touchscreen controls: 1)TURNING BOAT ON AND OFF 2)BILGE PUMPS 3) LIGHTS 4) POWER WEDGE (this actually stayed down for the past 30 minutes without being able to raise) 5) BALLAST SYSTEM I listed those in order of necessity. Would you feel safe in a boat that may or may not turn “on”?? You can ask this same question for all crucial switches that it controls. Keep in mind, these are high end boats that are made to pull surfers, wakeboarder, skiers, etc. Malibu has been the best boat in my opinion for all of the above, yet your faulty touchscreen is swaying my opinion these days. I have spent over $8000.00 in replacement touchscreens made by your company?? YOU NEED TO MAKE THIS RIGHT! Please get back to me immediately and we can work through my local Malibu Dealership. We just replaced this touchscreen less than a year ago, I am not paying you for another one that doesn’t work. Please escalate this to the top of the chain of command in your company. I have already reported to my local Malibu dealership. Please help!! I would greatly appreciate any and all of your help!!!
  2. Hello brilliant minded Malibus. We recently purchsed a 2016 23 lsv, had to hauled up to utah from texas. tried it out on our local lake, appeared that the wedge remained in Lift (down)position and we received the high mph warning while driving, Took it off water, and have read multiple threads including the great thread on calibrating through the debug assist. My issue trying to debug is that the wedge doesn't move with the +- touch screen to see if the voltage aligns. when attempting to switch between presets (wakeboard, surf et) the position doesn't change. any thoughtsf? thanks so much what a wealth of knowledge on this site matt
  3. Hello Everyone! I'm new to the boating world and am in love with the Malibu 23 LSV. I want a surf/wave boat with a large lounger in the back for sunbathing. I usually get about 3 of us that want to go out on the lake, anchor, and sunbathe. The newer 2021 has a walkthrough in the back. Yes, I know I can get a cushion to go over the walkthrough. However, the dimensions of the new lounger can only fit one person, it would be very tight for two people lying sideways. My question is which year Malibu 23 LSV has the largest lounger for sunbathing in the back? I know the 2020 doesn't have the walkthrough lounger but the lounger dimensions seems smaller than the later years. Only looking into 2016-2020. I might be wrong and the dimensions of the sunbathing lounger for the 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019, and 2020 Malibu 23 LSV might all be the same dimensions. If that is the case please let me know. I just can't find anywhere online what the dimensions are of the lounger for sunbathing. If there is another brand of surf boat that is 23 feet and has a larger sunbathing lounger please let me know. Budget is $110k. (On a side note looking for all black exterior.) Please advise. Thanks in advance! Jason
  4. Hello! New to the site! I recently bought a 2008 247 LSV with the Hammerhead engine. We have put about 35 hours on it this summer and it has been great, just rolled over 500 hours! Going to do an oil change tomorrow. I can't seem to find anywhere on the site, suggestions about the best way to drain the oil (how to catch it all without it making a mess in the hull). I have Valvoline 50W Conventional to put in and a mercury filter, both to match what the dealer used before I bought it. Any other tips, tricks or need to knows? Oil PSI seems good with that oil at around 40psi at idle and at most around 58-60psi during a hard pull. Seems to maintain pressure and run well! Lastly, I notice what sounds like a belt chirp at idle but only some trips out. As soon as I throttle up around 1500 RPM it disappears. Any suggestions on how to fix this or what it may actually be? Thank you!
