  1. Two questions for you. First time doing this myself. Haven't drained it ever cause where the boat is it never freezes. Local told me it’s still a good idea if it’s not ran regularly in the winter months. Claims the motor full of water creates more condensation and corrosion if it’s not ran often. Temp swings from 40 to 70 is like cold water in a glass and a warm room. Condensation in parts that aren’t suppose to have water. Idk about all that but as easy as it is to drain the thing I figure it’s worth it. So first time doing this myself. All went smooth and easy but….. Question 1. The water outlet tube from the v drive is a real PIA to get off. Any tricks to get it off other than pulling and twisting? Ended up pulling it from the impeller inlet and drained as much as I could. Inlet side wouldn’t come off either. Question 2. Should the drain plug end look like this? Seems like it’s missing an anode or something. Thanks for the Info. I searched the forum but couldn’t find anything. Maybe it’s just me and not knowing how to use the search function well. 2009 VTX Monsoon 340
  2. I've got an issue with my 05 vlx 383 hammerhead. It runs perfectly, no stalling or hesitating. stays at 160 degrees. when i just drive it easy with no tanks filled or wedge down i have no check engine come on. when loaded down tanks full i take off and in about 10-15 seconds every time the check engine alarm goes off. boat still runs fine, doesnt get hot all seems perfect. shut it off, drain tanks and drive it and no check engine anymore. ive replaced fuel filter, plugs, iac unit and new fuel pump still no change. any ideas???? any help much appreciated!!
  3. I have a functional SKU 556015 knock sensor but the threads on it are buggered. The thread is 1/4" 18 threads per inch, standard, American pipe thread. Does anyone have a good source to buy a new one, or to fix this one? I hate to try to force it into the block, and bugger the block.
