We need to replace the cracked Illusion X tower on our 2007 Wakesetter 23 LSV. Anyone have a source for finding a USED one? My understanding is that the original manufacturer of the Illusion X is no longer, and I'm trying to avoid replacing with a "different" tower if I can help it. Any suggestions or leads would be very much appreciated!!

Last month I purchased a 2003 Wakesetter 23 LSV. Our family is really enjoying the boat. We would however enjoy some shade at times. The original Gen 1 Illusion tower is still on the boat and in good shape. It took me a lot of research to even figure out what tower was on the boat and forget trying to find accessories. I've contacted Malibu and they confirmed that it is the Gen 1 Illusion tower. The customer service rep believes the Gen 1 Illusion was produced by XTP. I checked with XTP and no luck. They referred me to Great Lakes Boat Tops, and I struck out there too? Any ideas on a compatible bimini for our tower?

Hey guys, I've been searching all over and coming up with nothing. I'm not sure if I'm just missing it or what. I'm trying to install some tower lights into the Illusion X tower. I have all the wiring figured out, I'm just trying to find a solution to mount the lights into the tower's holes. I cannot for the life of me find any information on what to use. The holes are about 3/4" in diameter and the light mounting bolt will be 5/16 or 3/8, doesn't matter to me. These aren't specific tower lights I'm adding so I'm coming up with my own hardware. Does anyone have any info on what to use in those holes for mounts? I would like to use a threaded bushing which sounds like those come with the tower lights for the illusion X. No idea where to find them though.

Our 2009 Response FXi has an Illusion XS tower which, aside from a few design flaws, is an excellent tower. However over the last couple years it developed a creak sound under high load (pulling up riders). Upon inspection, we found one of the two pin bores in the base of the tower to be worn oval, when it should be circular. This seems to allow for additional play/slop at the pivot point. The creaking sound is not pleasant nor reassuring so we’d like to fix it as soon as possible. Has anyone else experienced this and if so, what was the fix? Thanks! Mark
