We have a 1997 Malibu Echelon. We are fairly certain the alternator needs to be replaced and can’t seem to find the correct replacement. We are not trying to up the amps for anything like a stereo etc. Can’t anyone point us in the right direction?

Hey guys, so my 1994 Echelon is starting to run rough at 1000RPM and at top speed it feels like its sputtering. now I know there is tons of posts out there about this but my main question here is what the CFM is for the stock Webber 9770s carbs? Iv got the 350 Magnum tournament ski, stamp on the carb is "9770S 0363", but I can't find the CFM for this carb. Im looking at getting a Ebelbrock 1410. however i'm reading mixed reviews that this might be sized to big. (ive already "tuned" the carb, new cap and rotor, gaped the plugs out to 0.035 and set the timing correctly) Any input will help! Thanks guys.

Hello, Everyone. Nice to find this site. I have a 1995 Echelon with 454 Mag with what I suspect is a throttle issue. Engine is running smooth, and I can bump it into forward or reverse at idle speed. But when I try to increase throttle, there is no response. The throttle feels loose, no resistance. Same result when I put it in neutral and try to throttle up - no response in RPM. How would I be able to tell the difference between a cable issue vs. throttle body issue? Does anyone have links to manuals/diagrams or any advice on troubleshooting and getting parts? I am somewhat confident to try this myself with this type of advice. Thanks in advance for your help! Steve

Hey guys, Im having some issues with my '94, Im getting the notorious "Clicking" but no crank on the starter. Theres enough forums out there going into detail about this issue, so i'm not going to explain it here. I what to start by replace my starter relay located on the top driver side of the motor (by the 50Amp breaker) There is no part number on this and bakes has multiple relays that look similar. Can some someone point me in the direction to where I can find one of these starter relays? I also have another question, If I were to buy a new starter, can I buy a generic starter for this motor or does it have to be a special marine starter? The motor is the 350 small block. I am restoring a 1993 Echelon. It sat outside through 8 years of Missouri weather and was not properly winterized. I figure the engine, a Mercruiser 350 Magnum Tournament Ski, is shot. The thermostat housing was completely clogged with rust. I imagine the cooling channels in the block are full of rust. I did get the engine to turn over and ran it for a few minutes, but water wasn't circulating properly (almost none out the exhaust).Even if I could rebuild the 350 (parts seem hard to come by), I would rather drop in a newer EFI engine. Suggestions on a good EFI engine for the Echelon would be appreciated.

Hey guys! As we all no Christmas just happened, so I decided to buy a new amp for the boat. The plan is to re-run all new speaker wire in 14AWG and amp all the speakers in the boat. So I picked up a Kicker KMA450.6 (6 channel) amp. originally I was going to ditch the 800w Kenwood 4 channel amp I have now, but after looking at the output numbers I feel as if the new kicker amp doesn't pack enough punch for the tower speakers. cause of that im planning to keep both amp. (run the towers off the 800w amp and all the speakers in the boat off the 450w) What your guys take on this? should I just keep it simple and run only my new 450w 6 Chanel amp, or should I go a different route all together. Im looking for loud and clean sound quality, no sub will be in my system (unfortunately) Iv got a Kenwood KMR-d7688BT head unit and have Kenwood KFC-1653MRW 6.5" speakers all round in the boat. Iv attached a photo of what I was planning on doing to clear thing up. Note I was thinking about running 2 speakers at 2ohms (paralleling them) reason for this is these will be on the driver side farthest 2 speakers from the amp and it would be less wire to run. Thats my theory behind this.. and these will get about 75W vs 40W the amp puts out at 4ohms. Thanks guys! and happy holidays! < These 2 speakers my be added in the future

Hit a large wake on the river and the boat came down hard. The center walkthrough windshield was open when we went over the bump. Now the windshield won’t close. Upon inspection the windshield base is popped out of the track. Any advice on how to get it back in the track with all seals intact would be greatly appreciated.

I have a 1995 Malibu Echelon LX. I installed a Monster MTK tower on the boat. I am looking for suggestions on where to purchase a cover. Is there an online source that will make a custom cover to fit with my tower? I could also have it altered locally.

Hey Guys and Gals! How do I tell which model Echelon I have? The sites show Echelon, Echelon LX or Pres LE? There are no markings on the boat except Echelon. Also, is there a place to get a owners manual online or run the Ser#? Thanks for the help!
