  1. Hi All, I have a 2020 22 MXZ and I am having trouble with my center ballast tank fill indicator only showing a max fill of 90% before I have water coming out the side. It will not show 100% full when I have a consistent stream of water coming out of the side of the boat. Has anyone come across this issue in the past? I feel like something may not be calibrated properly in the software or that I have a bad signal coming from that ballast tank? Or could it be something as simple as I have some trapped air in the tank its not letting the float for the indicator come to the top of the tank? TIA

  3. I have been "mooching" off friends and family and talking about buying for the last probably 3 years. This spring, after months of looking, finally wrote the check and dove head first into ownership. Even though prices seemed to be abnormally crazy this spring, I found what I was looking for and bought a loaded, previous owner demo, 2013 LSV a couple weeks ago. I say purchased, but what I really did was rescue this poor thing from an abusive home. I found a gentleman who didn't quite know what he had and got a steal of a deal. I knew to some degree it was in need some TLC but it may have been a bit more neglected than I thought. It has only 202 hrs on it so I am fairly certain the bones are good, I am just having quite a bit of odds and ends that are needing to be repaired. I am looking for some insight on the issues below. I worked at a Malibu dealership in the summers through college, detailing and doing simple maintenance, so I would like to do as much as I can myself to save the coin. As well as saving the labor costs, none of the shops close to me can get it in until mid July. Not surprising but would still like to have it rocking sooner than later. Issues... 1.) Equip with all four MLS tanks as well as rear P&P, center fill pump is not responding at all. This pump is crazy hard to get to and I'm wondering how to replace the cartridge. Where do I splice/plug in the new pump cartridge? The display for this tank is also reading funky, sometimes it will say it has water in it and sometimes it won't. 2.) The PW will sometimes send an error of either being unbalanced or the STBD actuator is faulting out but will also work perfectly other times. Are these easy to change out and should I do both if I'm doing one? 3.) While surfing or cruising, "automatic bilge activated" warning keeps coming up. When I stop and look to see if their is water in the bilge, it is bone dry. Is there possibly a sensor that needs to be replaced? 4.) I feel the boat is wandering when cruising. When cruising around the lake 20-25 mph, I am constantly steering back and forth to keep it on a strait line. It can also be felt down at surfing speeds but more evident at higher speeds. I'm not against bringing it to a Bu dealer, I know a couple around but I don't want to have it sitting at the dealer for 2+ weeks in the middle of summer as they are not the longest up here anyway. Any input would be greatly appreciated.
  4. Took my 2015 Wakesetter out for a few hours after having it delivered from Detroit! Great boat but as I figured there would be a list of to-do's after I gave it a full battery of tests. Hoping you guys can help me or point me to posts for some of the following issues. 1. Center Ballast tank always stays at 0%. It fills all the way as you can see it is full with water as well as it starts spewing from overflow up front right next to Front ballast which registers on the Maliview display and also spews out the side when full. I took the float sensor out of the front tank. Its a really simple high quality stainless steel rig. hard to imagine what would go wrong with it but I everything can break. Issue is the center tank is ridiculously hard to get to. You would have to use a 5/16" socket on a 1/4" ratchet completely blind to remove the 5 screws on top in order to remove the float switch and then put them back in blind. You would think they would have put in another floor opening to get to this but they did not. Hoping there is a reset or something else others have seen without full replacement. 2. Bluetooth is really glitchy. I think I am connected to the Viper2 system as I went in and renamed it on the 7"display and it shows up on my phone but sound is variable and also not very good. Sound is WAYY better on even the radio or aux. Read quite a bit on the forum about the sound issues but most of the articles were from back in 2016 and 2017. Wondering if there were any firmware updates to Viper 2 to resolve. Also read about a separate Rockford Fosgate RFXBT dongle but when searched showed it was discontinued. 3. Bass is really weak. I pulled the cover of the Fosgate Amp and think the gain is set low and the low pass frequency is set low also. Stickers all over that if you adjust warranty is void but feel like it needs adjustment. 4. Promariner Prosport12 Charger appears dead. When I plug cord into it no AC light comes on. Wondering if there have been issues with this unit. Outside of the above issues - WOW! Great boat. Throttle response is awesome for such a big boat and handling is awesome. My kids were in awe at the wake we produced. Looking forward to the summer and hope you guys can help. Peter
