Windshields

Has anyone had the windshield on their boat tinted? if so what level of tint did you use and roughly how much did it cost?

I saw an older Response LXi with the windshield tinted out and thought it looked SOOOOOOO cool and would like to do it to my Echelon.

Would u have a dealership that specializes in marine detailing do this or would u think any auto store that does tint would be ok?

Are there MI laws about window tint on boats?

You can tint it, I have....but I only did it once. Due to having the same amount of exterior light on both sides of the windshield you can no longer see through it, especially with sunglasses. In a car it's much darker inside, and you've got a roof. Without the roof to block sunlight it's not worth it in my opinion.

My buddy's X-10 is tinted and it looks SICK!. I am having mine tinted tomorrow. My issue is that the Illusion bimini only covers if the sun is high. When my 20 mo. old is in the boat, I want to put him in the observer's seat and have him protected from the sun. As far as I can tell, tinting is the only way to get this.

You can tint it, I have....it's not worth it in my opinion.

This looks great, I have to take the windshield off to replace my front speakers. I have to cut the holes bigger so I'm going to do the same thing. It shouldn't cost too much with the windshield out, I hope.
