This picture was taken last saturday morning a little south of Needles, AZ on the Colorado river. Apparently someone's not aware that they lower the water level at night. Soooo.... anyone on the boards wanna admit it? Better yet, anyone want to identify the boat and "out" the owner?

uh oh. Sheeprides, I thought the water levels rose at nite out there. We were out there two weeks ago and the water rose each night and dropped during the day....

I quess they are lucky that it didn't tip over, no damage to the sides. I would s*** if that happened to me (LOL), I quess it's a good thing I have "Wilson" my floating ball attached to our stretch rope, when we camp I have the boat out about 15 ft. from shore just for those people that don't know what a 5 mph no wake zone means, now I quess I have another reason  .

I have always heard good things about needles, but this makes me not ever want to go there...Hopefully there was not too much damage.

Actually, if you anchor your boat out far enough (assuming you keep it in the water overnight) you've got nothing to worry about. There's some pretty awesome scenery between Needles and Havasu.

Sandbar issue? Like the submerged ones in the river? Non-existant between Needles and Havasu but they're a'plenty when you go north of the Avi casino towards Laughlin. I wouldn't take a boat up there.

OR

Maybe you were asking about the sandbar issue? As in, the party location up-river from Havasu. Because that, my friend, is an entirely different answer...

I was looking at the first one...but always wondered about the second one. But it seems like needles is a pretty nice place to go. I may have to check it out next time I am at Havasu.

I always found the second one to have better scenery than the first. Thumbup.gif

Thats going to leave a mark?

You know it may not be that bad, it looks like there is a lot of sand and maybe they got really lucky and didn't do any damage to the prop or shaft Cry.gif or maybe not (lol).

I'd admit it, but you know I don't have that big ol' thing in the middle of my boat!

What, the tower? Tease.gif

What? A mark, ya spending too much time at that second sandbar issue might result in a big lump on the back of your head.
